Does anyone else work for a company that blocks Fchat?

As of Monday, I discovered that this website now falls under the no-no list. Is there anyway around this without getting burned or am I SOL?
    Best,

Damn right!!! Quit that job!! You don't want to work for a boss that doesn't want you to be happy while you work.

I know everyone says you should quit right away, and that was my first thought, but maybe give them a second chance. Insist that fchat be removed from the blocked list.

If refused, then quit! If they give you any trouble, sounds like constructive termination to me... ;)

j/k. well, not really. guess it's a gray area...

Did you ever figure out what they use to block it? Is it WebSense?

John, you may also want to check with Rob, as I believe he has solutions around this.

Let's see. Blue Tooth Phone + $20 Blue Tooth USB adapter = bypass filter!

Can also use several sites to route traffic over a different port than 80 for web. It works too. :)

I never posted here, but I read you for a while and I think I can help with your problem.

You have to connect to Internet through a proxy server, which will do all your outside connections for you, so admin at work will see only your connection to proxy (which is not blocked). Here is a list of all the proxies in the US (and other countries): http://www.samair.ru/proxy/proxy-16.htm. Disadvantage of this: it's slower then direct connection.

Hope I could help a little.
