    how so?

I had one other from the same box, and if they _are_ fake, they're still good, and probably better since that's been with me for 2-3 years. the one thing that would make me think..is i don't remember any Cohiba EL'05 smokes. the only sublimes i've ever had are EL'04.

EDIT: i checked the other sublimes i have and both are EL'04,after some research on the net, i was correct in saying that there were NO Cohiba EL'05 smokes (there were only H. Uppmann Magnums, Montecristo D's, and RyJ Petit Pyramids)...so I may be smoking that thing tonight  I;m kinda mad at myself now for not noticing and giving it so much time in the humi.

Cohiba Sublimes were part of the 2004 Edicion Limitada serious and real ones only have the 2004 band. They are 100% fakes. And bad ones at that with the 2005 band. Sorry. Also if you paid less than $500 thats another sign that they are fake.

FYI the 2005 Edicion Limitada was:

    H.Upmann Magnum 50 EL 2005
    Montecristo D EL 2005
Romeo y Juliete Petit Piramides 2005

Lets us know how it tastes. Nice stash. Also you need to ratchet down the humidity immediately in your humidor. The Mold OMG, not good at all. what humidity % are you keeping there??

I don't know if I could bring myself to smoke any of those, so much mold.

right now it's sitting around 72; i've left the box open for now to hopefully bring it around 68ish. plume and mold aren't the same thing. I've had a moldy humidor before, and it's not pretty. :p

in fact, one of my smaller boxes [50 ct] had a HUGE amount of mold actually ON the wood. luckily there weren't too many sticks in there -- they were squishy, so i left them out before i put them in my main box.

That is not plume by any stretch. That is mold. You need to bring humidity down to 68 range and wipe the mold off those poor stogies :)

so; back on topic -- how many would be interested in participating? ideally i wouldn't want to have TOO many [say, less than 20-ish participants], and have it US-only for the first one, to ensure everything goes as smoothly as it could, without the time/money required to ship the pass internationally.

'Like for Like' is the normal and accepted rule for a pass. Cuban for Cuban, aged for aged, rare for rare, cheap for cheap, expensive for expensive etc...

But the real rules get made by the guy who decides to they want to step up and start a pass.

Im in but a beginner.. I only have Monte Cristo's and Romeo & Julieta's available at Costco..

The R & J's are great, the Monte's were more expensive but too harsh for me.

I'm up for a real cuban pass this way, I'll send 2 for one.
