    Hi Matt,

nice pics on your slideshow. Hope to get them on a disc soon.
But Jens told me it will take some weeks for the compilation.
BTW: What was actually the problem on your AC fan ?

    Gruß

    Hey buddy,

well, sometimes its just a great boost to bring back wonderful memories.
And this trip to Andermatt was surely one of the highlights of this ferrari summer (my wee and tiny personal point of view).

Concerning the AC fan. Well, what a pain in the ... neck. I brought the car to the dealer (you know whom I'm talking about) and after a very long song and dance and statements like 'I think we fixed the problem' or 'Sorry, but we have to check a few gadgets again, just to be sure', they located the fault. A resistor (thermistor??) was broken. When the ignition was turned off there was no way that this fan realised that I wanted to have dinner with my Ferrari buddies, instead he happily kept on going as a separate circuit delivered the power until, well, until the battery surrendered.

It took ten days to locate the problem and replace the resistance unit.

And then the discussion about warranty started as you know.

Can't wait to receive the Andermatt CD from Jens.

    Cheers,

    Matt

mark and marc: just a wish: i would like to show up in scotland next year, but it will be impossible for me at any last week of a month (payroll processing).

Scotland sounds good. You guys will love the views. I went to the Edinburgh Festival a few years back and it was fab. Not sure when it is on, but maybe arrange the trip around the same time. Man the thought of driving all round Scotland is getting me excited already!

Business is going well, and got another store opening in Oct. My car unfortunately is in garage, but im getting it back next week so cant wait! But weather is rubbish at mo, so wont get to drive it much. PLus getting the house decorated, so I wont be able to park the car at home as the front is a building site! Anyone care to look after my car for a few weeks??

it's not too bad for me, it's one of the (outsourcing) services we provide to our clients, and i just have to supervise the process, as we are not a big company.

the only problem in this case is, that we are not able to use standard application software for it, as we are exploiting a very rarely used (and known) employment status in Swiss law, which is very favorable for our international clients, which are seconding employees to Switzerland.

it depends on how much tax you pay today :)
but we also help people saving taxes, and switzerland is not a bad place for this purpose.
on the other hand, the employment status i mentioned is more intendend to save social security contributions (of course it has nice tax savings impacts too).

Hey after seeing the nice scenery I feel like moving to Switzerland regardless if I save tax or not! The only way to save tax in the UK is not to work! Can you believe in a few years time we are gonna have a law here that makes it illegal to try and avoid tax through legal loopholes. Its going crazy here.

this exists in many countries, even in switzerland, but our tax and social security systems are very friendly, the levels are low, and there is plenty of very legal possibilities to exploit, also with international structures....
and all people who can substantially saving taxes by moving to switzerland are welcome here, because that means they have substantial money ;)

but we shouldn't abuse this thread of the month of august for such off topic and disgusting discussions :D
