    Great stuff these recent posts!

My current little project can't compete, but it's a bit special to me. The first time I ever sat behind the 'wheel of a Ferrari was in a black 1988 Testarossa with all red interior. Kyosho happens to make this, but the interior is not completely red and it's a bit expensive (170 plus euro).

Kyosho also has a bit of a problem with overall body shapes. So the alternative presented itself with a black Bburago 1984 Testarossa. Things that mainly need to be changed are the interior colour (from beige to red), some detailing in black and adding wheels with five bolts.

I happen to have some spare wheels from an Anson 328 GTS. The bolt pattern is different, but that doesn't bother me. Bburago uses four identical wheels and tire sizes with Bburago printing on the side walls. The Anson ones are much better, with the proper Pirelli printing and wider rear tires/wheels.

As an aside, I have a backlog of projects, caused by the fact that I don't have a dedicated work space for modelling. We're trying to sell our house and move to a bigger one, where I'll have my own hobby room. That should help with going forward on these model projects!

I've finished the Testarossa as far as I could. I would like to add the two lower side mirrors, but have to wait for a donor HW F512M to arrive.

I've detailed the wheels by adding shadow to the bolts, then painting them chrome. I also added the Cavallino center cap logos. Their 3D stickers, not waterslide decals. I bought them once on Ebay and wish I'd bought more of them. They're very realistic and easy to apply.

At the rear deck I sanded the Ferrari script so now it looks like it should (it was painted black originally by Bburago).

    Best, Peter

Recently finished - took me more than two years.
Wasn´t always a pleasure and motivation was a big matter.
The resine kit by Leonardo/MG could be described as quite rudimentary.
Obviously they decided to cancel development of these kits on half way, and selling what was available at this point.
Assumably these kits were produced only in small numbers and available only for a very short period.
Seems to be quite rare, I haven´t seen one for sale on the web, even when the kits were available.
Anyhow, as far as I know, the original ran only once at the Nuerburg Ring in 1962 (along with 3 sharknoses), and also this kit is the only one ever released at scale 1/24 so far -
and presumably it will be the only one for a long time.
The kit included the main parts, which were designed for the sharknose bodies- lots of details were wrong or missing for this body and chassis.
So most of the detail parts you see at the model are scratch built.
I´m aware that the model isn´t perfect. I tried to reflect authenticy as far as possible, but there are some general failures at the kit I couldn´t revise- or became aware while finishing when it was too late (the freaks will recognize...)
However, I´m glad this model is finished and I have it in my collection finally.
The next of these, I´m quite sure I will build curbside.
    Cheers
    Klaus

The beginnings of making 275 05161 maybe commonly known as the SEFAC car. This was a transitional car between the early 250 GTO and the 1964 GTO. It basically looks like a 275 Spyder with a 250 LM style roof on it.

You can read about and see the real car here: Ferrari 275 GTB SEFAC

I started the project by cutting the windscreen frame from the Italeri spyder body, then grafting on the front portion of the roof from their 275 GTB. I scratchbuilt the tunnel back section of the roof from styrene. The trunk lid has to be shortened so I'm scribing a new line a short distance from the where the tunnel B pillars land. There are other minor details on the body which need to be changed from the regular 275 body.

    Dear all,
I would like to recall this forgotten thread.
Everybody is talking about NEW MODEL KITS, but nobody seems to build anything?! -or at least no one's showing it.
Last post is almost 4 years ago!
What has become out of this very interesting 275 SEFAC?
Come on guys, let´s see what´s on your bench!

I´ll make a start, and show my latest project:
Ferrari 308GTB Koenig Specials scale 1/24
based on an old Revell plastic kit- along with the conversion kit by C1-Modells:

    -first steps:

Last time I suffered on Long lasting, exhausting difficult projects without finalizing anything.
So now my goal is to finish one finally!
That means, building out of the box, without scratch - and parts I have available from my stock.

The C1 parts are quite good quality, and also fit quite nice to the Revell body.
Before placing the side skirts, the original parts must be cut of the body.

    -wax putty:

I have been using this hot wax putty tool from RAIRO/Germany for many years.
It is always fascinating how fast and clean you can work with it.
However, I never used it this way. So it's an experiment, and I'm curious how it will end.

So much for today - more to come soon.
