Chrome pens: Molotow Liquid Chrome and other companies, which you can find on eBay. When they are brand new fresh they work great. I use them. They are MUCH better than any "chrome silver" paint.

Liquid Chrome mirror effect works well. Can be found as an art supply product in stores and online..Comes in different applicator sizes much like a sharpie tip.

Thanks for reminding me guys, the result is much better now. I use a chrome pen by Pilot. I extract a blob of paint out of the pen onto the back of a plastic cup and use a fine brush to apply it onto the model. (Sadly the compression on F-Chat makes the picture loose a lot of quality).

Go to Hobby Lobby and look in the model supply section. They sell japanese Gundham supplies, amongst which markers, which are with hobby paint. All of them are great and work amazing. But the best one is their chrome, which will give you amazing results in a very easy to use package. In my opinion they are better than the Mollotow markers, which HL also carries. Either one you decide to go with, be prepared for super long drying time, which is pretty much the norm with any hobby chrome paint.

I apologize if this was posted previously, but I just was made aware of this builder. If you can spare 30 minutes, this is an incredibly talented builder.

My 308 GTB/M conversion project is coming along slowly but surely. I think I'm finally done with the body work after a lot of filling and sanding. I can't wait to put the primer on so I can see if everything's smooth enough for paint. The climate conditions aren't ideal though, so I will probably paint the model after the winter is over. I think I will do the primer to see how it looks.
The body work consists of the rear wheel arch flares, deleting the rectangular side marker lights in the front fenders, deleting the recess in the rear for the license plate, filling the holes left by the removed roof spoiler, adding the rear mud flaps and lowering the front air dam to accomodate sponsor decals.

Speaking of decals, I applied the one for the windscreen. A glimpse of the final product!

Meanwhile I'm working on the custom dashboard. The chassis is essentianlly done as is the interior. There are still a few small things to do, but the major part next on the list is paint, assembly and decals.

I will pauze my 308 GTB/M conversion project for the winter. I did put a first layer of primer on some of the parts, but my for paint set up I need to open a window and it's getting too cold in the room. so that's for Spring.

I did finish the custom dashboard. Not much left of the original Hot Wheels one, only the steering column and steering wheel. I used some parts from an F40 and used a few left over decals. I also flocked the top of the dashboard. The decals aren't too great so I hope it's not too visible when in place. It's not a 100% replica of a real GTB/M dash, but it comes close.

In the meantime I will prepare another project for paint. A lot of bodywork to be done, so looking forward to that. It's the conversion of a GT Spirit 348 kit into the 348 TBf club racer of Jean Blaton. I've gathered the necessary parts like F40 seats and inner door panels, F40 rear lights, Tremonia PE parts etc. I also found the correct wheels.

I got some work done on the 348 TBf conversion.

I'm working on the wheels and side windows first. This may sound odd, but these items need to be done first as both involve bodywork.
The TBf has a lowered ride height, so I needed to finish the wheels and axles first in order to deepen the cut outs in the body for the axles. (brake disks and callipers will follow later).

The TBf has F40LM style side mirrors instead of the standard ones. So I needed to cut away these triangles:

The side windows that come with the model don't fit too well and the black edges are a bit too wide. They also end where the triangles used to be. So I'm going to make my own side windows. For the black edges I will use black electrical tape. I've already did some trial versions and it works quite well. The F40LM style mirrors are on their way and I will also add slide windows.
Here's the mock up of the new side windows (with the GT Spirit one in front):

    You can buy them here:
    https://creationjmg.com/product/rims-koenig-1-18/

I bought two sets, because the rear rims are too wide. I also bought slick tyres seperately. The seller is very helpful if you need something custom. Maybe he'll even sell you four front rims and tyres.

Now working on the nose of the 348 TBf. Deleting the grill opening and adding the quick fuel fillers in the hood. I'm going to use the PE parts from Tremonia (red arrow).

After that the front spoiler needs to be lowered and a splitter added. Most difficult job I think will be adding the extra air intake in the front spoiler on the driver's side.

Despite the lack of vocals - and maybe even because of it - this guy is very therapeutic to watch. His recent Jordan F1 191 build is fantastic.

Slow but steady progress on the 348 TBf conversion. Filling the front grill is done. I made the second air intake in the front spoiler which needs some more filling and sanding to finish off. Front spoiler has been lowered but also needs some final shaping. Front splitter made out of paper thin styrene is done, but will be the last part to assemble as it's very fragile and needs to be painted gloss black instead of mat black like the front spoiler.

The ad for the kit on Ebay only had one picture, showing the body from the top as well as separate parts for the side strikes. This led me to believe that the door panels would be flush and would require no work to modify. It turned out there were grooves in the doorpanels to fit the strikes, so I had to fill these grooves with putty.

I also filled the regular fuel filler cap, as the TBf has the quick fuel filler system in the nose.

For the rear I've filled the recess for the license plate, as the TBf has a flush rear bumper. Sanding is almost done.

The remaining body work consists of the side skirts and also extending down the lower rear valance. And I have an idea how to make the smaller body parts on the outsides of the rear lights.

Now I´d like to proceed with more detailling on the engine and transmission.
However, I noticed I don´t have sufficient pictures of this engine. I have several images of this engine, but that´s not the correct one- I beleive it´s a later version:
