www.supercarfreak.net/gallery/dbworld4k There you go fellas! Pic's can't even touch Lukey Duke's even with a 10m pole (quality wise and photo wise), but hey they're better than nothing! I need a better camera fast - with a proper zoom lens! P&S cams suck for good photography! Anywho, there's only two galleries in there, I'm sure you guys can figure out which one is the intended item of this post If anyone has any problems with plate #s, please PM and I will remove the pics immediately. I was intending on gettin the plates cleane dup prior to the upload but haven't had the time to do so; and couple that with the general consesnus that you guys don't mind plates being exposed, I figured it would be alright, at least for this run (Rick changed his plate, Jay doesn't mind. I have yet to hear from Steve. He is outta town what I understand). But for next time, I will take out the plates prior to the upload. Okay stop reading, and check out the pics!
Tell me about it.... For the Ferrari Maserati Gallery I used a proper SLR cam, one that is sorta like the D70 which Lucas (and I think Andrew) use. You can immediatley see the better quality straight off the bat in that gallery, but the poor lightining conditions in the dealer made for overexposed pictures. Give me a few months. By the time the next ''season opener" hits, I'll be ready! Hahaha season opener, I just re-read that to myself and boy it sounds funny when used for FChat meets. Like some kick off for the NHL season or something. I'll bring the speakerphone and Intro music!
Steve is in town and doesn't mind.....nice pics. See what you get for taking all those track suit cracks at Rick? P.S. please let me know if your still interested in those tickets, I need to plan for that time shortly
Cool, thanks for the pics! I didn't realize you rode in Johnny's car as well -- was that on the way back from the restaurant?
Shoot, I didn't know you were around lol. Don't worry, the flame wars with Mr. Hunt haven't come to an end yet! As for the tickets, I don't think any of my buddies are willing to go (I guess the price deters them a bit), so I'd have to pass on them Can't go alone, that's just not right! Thanks for the offers though, I'll keep them in mind for the future. No problem! I didn't ride in Johnny's car, that was my friend Gagan. He took those pics, he had a nice camera (P&S but it still rocked)! Seeing as he doesn't have an online gallery, he didn't mind letting me post them so I take no credit for those shots towards Page 4 of the album. Not bad pics for completely blind shots eh? Just holding up the camera through the targa top and clicking away, hoping for a good angle!
I had it in my collection of pics since Rob has increased the upload size. Just because you have never seen one, doesnt mean anyone else hasnt.
That's not what I meant. Obviously I have yet to see cars that others have. What I meant was, we didn't have that at THE meet (#4). That's all I was implying.
db, he was nailing that car to no end. In front of me and Mr.Apex that thing whatever it was had some good pace.I agree it was entertaining.
Yeah he was riding along side Tom's car for a while, and I could hear the car. It sure had some punch though, I wonder what the engine was in that thing. I must say, I was impressed by its ability to, as you adequately stated, "keep pace." Pretty good brakes too, since at one of the lights Jason ran the Orange so Tom and F40-man had to slam the brakes. All in all, that was quite the replica. Wonder what the real thing would do!
Eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner. A very long time ago back in the early 90s I had the pleasure one sunday morning at 7am of seeing a 288. Never saw it again, or have seen one since. I was in my trustworthy new bmw 535 with 225hp(back then). We were at a light on dixie and the 401 getting ready to go on the on ramp. We both nailed it good(at least I did). This car pulled away from me so fast when I got to the on ramp at about 120kms an hour after the bend and the 401 was clear I never saw this car again. Sam was in the car with me that morning(freind of mine) and we still talk about it to this day of how fast that car and when the turbos lit up where it went. I cant describe to you any better, you would have to see to believe. Anyway...very fast.
Nice, must have been quite the thrill. FoO has a 288 in the showroom, I seriously loved that car when i saw it there. Forget the MC12. Between a 288 and f40... that's a tough toss up - I'd probably take the 288 (IMO, better looks, more rare, just so special!).
It sure had some punch though, I wonder what the engine was in that thing. He mentioned that it was built on a Fiero-chassis. I'm assuming it was using the stock Fiero engine as well (?)
