Do we have a privacy policy? I thought so, but recentlly I've been getting broadcast emails from a moderator here (will not name him) soliciting his prodcuts...

    What's up with that?

Moderator or sponsor? I absolutely do not send unsolicited email to anyone outside my established customers. I do a whole boatload of things to protect customer privacy, but the thing I fear most is email spoofing where it'd look like I'm sending junk mail about drugs, stocks, porn, etc... but have no earthly idea that it's going on.

A privacy policy would be a good idea. It should be listed somewhere clearly visible from most pages.

I'll talk to you offline to get more details.

From administrative perspective I'm the only one that can send emails to all users. I do this monthly with the Newsletter/Velostrada and Title Sponsor. Users can individually choose to receive these Administrative emails at registration and there are instructions in each email how to stop receiving.

From a moderators perspective they need to send users a PM and/or email now and then as an explanation for moderation performed or as a warning.

From a sponsors perspective they have the right to post commercial messages and to send a commercial PM within reason.

A Moderator shouldn't be sending commercial messages unless they are also a sponsor. A Sponsor shouldn't be sending you PM's if you have asked them to stop or they're soliciting a product or service you have no interest in. I only want to see a Sponsor sending a commercial PM if you posted something like "I'm looking for an aftermarket exhaust, where is the best place to buy?". Usually just posting for all to see is the best anyway.
