Had the idea in mind for a while: spend an afternoon with kids to share our priviledges and offer to children who perhaps were not as lucky as ourselves some fun time, an opportunity to smile and, maybe, realize a dream.
Spent a little bit of time looking & contacting a few people, without much success until an opportunity was thrown my way, so here's the deal.

Who : Foyer de Romainmôtier, an internat which belongs to the Fondation Jeunesse & Famille (http://www.fjfnet.ch) and currently hosts 5 orphans and 6 kids whose families can't or won't take care of. Seven boys and 4 girls form 7 to 15yo.
When: Sat May 21st or Sat June 4th (depending on availability & weather)
Where: meet in Crissier at 1pm, drive to Romainmôtier (25km)
    Tentative program:
-arrive in Romainmôtier, perhaps a surprise for the kids
-departure in semi-convoy for a drive on the charming roads of the Jura Vaudois. Will arrange a nice itinerary.
-photos, drinks&snacks in a mountain restaurant
-kids swap cars and we continue the loop back to Romainmôtier

Feasibility relies ENTIRELY on the number of participants. We need 11 cars minimum, 13 or 14 if we want to take the staff, otherwise they'll meet us at the restaurant.
If the quorum is not reached, the alternative is to make small loops around the restaurant (in the surroundings).
Made no promises, but I really would like to make this happen and the staff is very enthusiastic & touched by the idea. The kids would have a great time.

I'll be grateful if those who can commit to participate can contact me via email or pm, and gather owners they know to join.

Please, if you pledge to come, show up. It's for kids ...

Making healthy progress and got wonderfully positive answers, but am still a few cars short of the targeted 11 so I still need some help !
My gratitude to those who already responded.

Date still undecided, 05/24 and 06/04 are ex-aequo in terms of participants.

knowing you, I guess you already thought about it, but... no worries about insurance - if anything happens during the drive / legal age for sitting on the passenger seat ?

Heuuu ... where we not talking about Saturday the 21th of May (instead of 24th)?

I'm pretty shure that more Swiss Ferrari owners will attend this unique proposition.

Saturday May 21st or June 4th indeed, sorry for the typo.
Insurance a good question: if anyone's coverage does not include passenger accident insurance, then i will raise the matter to the administrators to see what kind of accident insurance they have for the kids.

Will double check the LCR but I believe that kids are allowed on the front seat from the age of seven.

We are on for Sat May 21st, with 9 to 10 kids participating and 10 genereous drivers. Just short of being enough to ensure we can take everyone for a drive at the same time so we'll make shorter loops (25 to 35km) and make sure that everyone gets a taste of the various V8s, V12 and B12s, with an M3 and a Lotus Elise as guest stars.

More registrations are welcome, pls pm me if you would like to receive the program/driving directions.

The itineraries will take us through the best twisty stuff the region has to offer, for some (safe) fun for everyone.

My gratitude to those who volunteered to join and spend an afternoon sharing some of their priviledges. I am sure the kids will have a great time.

For those who would not be on the mailing list, the event is postponed to June 4th ... because the kids have a soccer tournament on May 21st and the orphanage staff did not seem to be quite aware.
Pity we have to postpone by 2w, but maybe ... maybe we'll have a few additional guest participants ...

Confirming we're on for this Saturday (06/04), meeting at 1:15pm in Bussigny. Weather forecast does not look that bad at all, and I am sure that it will be a great surprise for the kids !
If anyone wants to receive the program, pls pm me.

the road was great too... I'm still amazed that we maintained that kind of pace with kids on board. Whether it is a good example or not can be debated...

Anyway, was very nice to be with you guys, incredible set of pilots, cars, serving a nice cause.

Thx ZeShark for the spotless organisation.
