    Just an FYI:

Some of you have already encountered the new rules on Ferrarichat.com: It is a pay site now. You can still register and login for free, but with limited rights and access. If you want full access, you need to actually sign up and pay the fee.

FChat currently limits non paying members to 5MB of data, which is easily reached when posting pictures. So if you're currently encountering problems with posting pictures, it is probably because you haven't signed up as a paying member.

Does this limit the number of posts you can do?
or just the size of a particular post?
maybe I should keep typing, this may be it!!!!!!!!

It will take an awful lot of typing until you reach 5 MB. So if you don't post pics you're fine for life.

I fully understand Rob's reasons for doing this (and support him), however I have the feeling it will eventually just cut down on pictures posted.

Hey. I only posted all of the pics that I did to,hopefully, make someone laugh,or at least put a smile on someone else's face. Thats my nature...:) It's really not that important to me to share my pictures with everyone else. I just did, because I could. No big deal.

But,if anyone wants to see any Funny,Ferrari Related pics from me in the future. E-Mail,or PM me. I'll tell you where you can see them....:)

    have a nice day! :)

So when I reach 5 mb I can't post anymore? I'll just be a new name, but of course lose my Formula 3 status. Seems silly.

If you don't post pics it will take you forever to reach 5MB. If you do, you can still sign up for $$$ and continue on posting without loosing your status.

Alternatively, you could just create a secondary account for posting pics, and then a tertiary account when that one runs out, etc. "Ken's Sock Puppet 1", "Ken's Sock Puppet 2", and so forth. Your primary account keeps it's status, and it's all gold.

You could just pay the $15 silver cheap fee. Then you gain access to the elite silver members forum.

I don't even own a Ferrari yet and I easily get the value of my subscription fee in entertainment and information from this site. How can anyone who can afford to actually maintain an F-car balk at the pittance Rob asks for a Silver subscription?

If it's really a problem, I'll kick in a few bucks toward a subscription for Frank, because I want to see more of his pictures.

Whew. Go back and read the archives and debates on all this. Let's just say that most people who have problems with it aren't concerned about the money. I don't want to renew the debate here, I was just giving some suggestions to people.

Yeah. The fee is not much and I like Rob, but I'll go weeks without posting and I'm not an addict; this site is entertainment. If this site can only survive with a fee than it is what it is; the Europa group on Yahoo is my bread and butter. But I also like it here. Different kind of crowd. If my contibutions aren't enough to warrent my free participation than fine.

I see the fee basically as a toll booth for the trolls. And we had a lot less of those idiots recently.

Hijacking this thread just a bit, but anyway.

I arrive on the 4th and then will head straight to the hotel to watch the GP of the frogs and get over the jet lag. But thanks anyway. I'll be around for a while. Plan on going to the F1 car demonstration on Tuesday (?) in London downtown. Should be fun.
