    Had a problem this last weekend where for 2 or 3 days, the threads didn't update very much. I know it is usually slow on a friday or saturday, but this was really unusual..

    that would have been a cookie issue, you weren't bringing in the latest updates, there are new posts every minute, even in the least busy times. when that happens go to an alt domain for us like www.ferrari101.com or www.thebestemployee.com for new cookies.

    It does seem slow in the mornings (about 5-7 am).
    Okay, thanks to 50 year old phone lines in the neighborhood, my DSL has been running a 10% packet loss rate lately.
    But I can surf three other web pages from various sites while waiting for one fchat page to open.

    Worse when trying to post.

    It does seem better in the evenings (eastern US time).

    Oh, and by the way: database admins *always* want a hotter computer. ;)
