    Just signed up to this forum today, and reading through the various posts I am guessing that the majority of posters are from the US. Some of the posts seem to be rather aggressive and vulgar in a way only Americans know how to do.

    Could we have a separate UK owners forum so that some of this nonsense can be readily filtered out by default?

    You might want to consider that this site is based in the U.S., along with its founding member. So try to contain your "aggressive and vulgar" comments, or you might end up finding your profile "filtered".

    Maybe he's been banned from Noony's 911 site for 'aggressive & vulgar' comments ? The Fchat uk section needs more 911 owning wannabees.....

    What's funny about all this is that I tried to VERY politely point him to the UK forum on Fchat... until, before I got my post in, he'd actually looked and found it. Then I lost my patience with our newest troll.

    And, as a matter of fact, just like Fchat itself, I'm from Texas and I don't mind being called a redneck...

    As a poster in the UK forum and a regular viewer of many others I am having difficulty with your approach. Were you really setting out to annoy as many people as possible in your 1st real post.

    Trolls are folks who wander around aimlesly in forums simply winding people up and adding little or no value.

    A "troll" is someone who comes onto a site and posts deliberately controversial posts with no intent other than wind people up and cause conflict for fun.

    Hence, your comment .. "rather aggressive and vulgar in a way only Americans know how to do" ... combined with the fact that it was your first post and no details about you, seemed to fit the "troll" bill.

    Though if you had been on the UK forum a few weeks ago it was a bit like WWIII had broken out. All seems to be calm now though. Mind you, come to think about it, it was an American that started that! .....

    oops, I'm outta here (ducks for cover!) :D

    No problems with the "genuine requirement", local boards are extremely helpful and relevant to those who use them. However, as others have stated, waltzing in with your first post and taking pot shots at Americans was completely uncalled for, and completely outside the purview of your question.

    Im not sure how things are on the other side of the pond, but I cant believe anyone (regardless of their global location) wouldnt consider those comments to be insulting and inflamatory.

    You could at least be man enough to admit your mistake and move on from there, rather than try and defend your "opinion" against responses which you yourself instigated.
