    The three independents have issued their seven "demands". Are they asking too much in return for choosing the next PM? Will either party be able to govern effectively and be stable with these three, let alone with a Green and Wilkie?

    I'm increasingly thinking we would get better government without the three holding an axe over the governing major party's head. I think they've gone too far in demanding changes to our tried-and-tested Westminster caretaker conventions. Who knows what their next demands will be before selecting the PM - let alone their demands of the government each time it wants to pass legislation. Abbott might be wiser to play hard ball and effectively give Julia government, then let the ALP destroy itself over the next 3 years.

    I think too many people wasted their votes. An election held today would have a very different outcome IMO.

    No idea. I thought Labour would easily win....I think that's why so many people voted 'sex party', 'greens' etc, because they thought it would make no difference.

    But what a waste of money ...

    Liberals should be in as they have the most primaries I think ... and IMO Labor is not able to govern a country, heck they can't even stop in fighting in their own party.

    Short answer is... yes.. we should go back to the polls.

    But will we? Will the egotists in the Gillard camp believe they can pander to every nonsense the newfound rockstar independent MP's request just to keep in the Lodge.

    Although it brings up another question. Ms Gillard said she wouldnt move into the Lodge until she had a mandate to do so. Technically the ALP does not have a lower house mandate if they have to coalition with the Greens and the Nutso Conglomeration of Independence... can we sell the Lodge to pay for the new election...??

    Also, the Liberal campaign fund is dry. If they restarted the campaining nonsense, the unions would be tapped for more donations to the cause, and the Libs would be blown off the teev.. the only one still advertising is the mob from the tobacco lobby...
