This weekend I was looking through some threads here on weight loss and getting in shape and found a lot of good tips. Today I'm home with the flu and got to thinking that there are probably a lot of flu/cold remedies out there in my fellow Fchatters brains which is why I posted this thread. What I do to beat the flu is drink lots of cranberry juice (100% juice) eat protein, stay away from dairy, caffeine, alchohol and get lots of sleep. I've also recently heard that garlic helps so I'm trying to incorporate that into my meals. How about you what's gramma's or grandpa's remedy?

I got a cold also (I guess its going around). I drink tea and have chicken soup or broth, and cherry cough drops to fight the cough. My Russian neighbor gave me some stuff called Airborne..they make lozenges, cold tablets, etc. I don't think they have helped much, but I figure its worth a shot. Sleep is always a good idea. I think you just have to let it run its course.

chicken soup, or some source of soup. No canned stuff though, that stuff is no good. Lemon tea works sometimes for sore throats and such. Just get lots of rest.

Avgolemono soup; chicken, rice, and lemon juice. It is the Greek cure for anything that ails you.

Rob, if you don't do anything, it will last about 7 days.

Otherwise, it will take a week to get better. 8^)

    How's that PPL coming? Done?
