I don't work in the car industry. I said several times my experience might be an isolated one. I'm just being honest. Done with this thread.
My name is listed on my profile, the city I live in is also listed. I am NOT using a alias of any kind and the instant I see someone attacking a person or business and does not have the guts to list their real name in their profile they get completely dismissed by me as serious. I would even be willing to bet the CNC did the same and did not bother to contact you at your "alias" because they also felt the same way. If you are going to complain about a person or business then don't hide behind a skirt or a alias, be a man and identify yourself and then make your statement. Trust me, every one will take you seriously then.
I don't think we should blame John Roberts or accuse him. He may have had a poor experience but we know there are many who have had the opposite. So, let's hear them all and let people sort it out. Do I wish he had more the 5 posts before attacking? Yes. But, none the less we should listen more and react less.
There's no need for that, to be mean. I'm sorry if I offended you. Cnc must be very close to your heart and I was just trying to share an honest experience. When I joined ferrari chat I thought that's what these forums are about, to share and protect each other. There's no need to be mean to me, tell me I'm hiding behind a skirt and basically call me a girl and gutless. Yes, I am very private-it is a free country. And to be honest now I am happy I am. I hope you don't represent the whole Ferrari chat community with your personal attack. My apologies if I offended anyone by sharing my, MY, experience. I'm am definitely out of this thread. Thank you.
Coming clean will not help peole take him more seriously...trust me, I know from experience. I stayed completely honest, open and exposed about an experience I had at a dealer (not CNC), and some people here jumped down my throat and backed the dealer up automatically. My experience was not very good, packed with lies and false promises! I did eventually get resolution from them to my satisfaction, but it wasn't easy, and it doesn't negate the fact that it should have never happened in the first place. Plus it became MY problem instead of theirs. I was the one that had to go to the dealer to get everything corrected. I was the one who lost use of the car for the time it was in the shop, etc. I probably would have gotten nowhere if I didn't speak about it on Fchat. Even though I wound up with check to take care of the small issues at the end, the dealer handled it VERY poorly and made me struggle through the whole process. If they were planning on helping out from the beggining, it would have been resolved within the week, instead of more than 2 months later! So back to my original point...He made a wise choice to stay anonymous because it doesn't help not to. He came on here just telling people his experience. Based on all the reviews, it sounds like CNC is a pretty solid business, but as in any business, there is no way you are going to please 100% of the people. Sometimes it's the consumers fault, other times it's the busines' fault. We are all free here to analyze the info as we please, but there is no reason why someone shouldn't voice their opinion on an experience they had if they feel it may help a future shopper. I'm convinced that my situation helped many future shoppers with information when it is their time to purchase. It doesn't matter that there were 3 or 4 Fchatters that thought I was the one that was wrong. I didn't care, I felt like I did a service to the hundreds of others that took it seriously and realised that I didn't write in because I had nothing better to do. Just accept "John Roberts" post as help. There is no reason to attack him for his opinion on the deal he had made with CNC. He DID offer to elaborate if you PM him. What else do you expect him to do? He could have told his whole story, like I did, and get bashed here anyway. There is enough positive feedback here for CNC that this one (or 2) negative feedback will not harm them, but it may help keep them on their toes and continue to provide top notch service as they have been giving to most of their customers already.
I know I'm late to this thread, but I am one of those "real" non-affiliated customers of CNC. I completed 12 transactions with them last year, including the purchases of three Ferraris and two MBs. Each transaction involved a trade-in; each went smoothly. When I say "smoothly," I mean flawlessly. Further, through happenstance, I am acquainted with three of the individuals who purchased some of my trade-ins. They too, without exception, are very, very happy with their treatment by CNC in the course of their transactions. I have referred friends to CNC who have made purchases. Again, without exception, all were (are) very pleased with CNC. Many have referred some of their friends to CNC and so on. At any time when open, you can go to CNC's showroom and you will encounter numerous past purchasers milling about the stock of beautiful cars. People love going there just to say "Hi!" and to check out what's new. CNC espouses, and I believe practices the old school model of sales: Treat your customers well and they, the customers, will keep selling [cars] for you. You have chosen a curious moniker, "John Roberts." I can't imagine you have evoked the name of the Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court by pulling it out of thin air (or by accident) for use on Ferrari Chat. The selection and use of his name is certainly food for thought and speculation.
And, Mr. John Roberts, Canine64 is one of the very happy, very REAL customers of CNC who purchased one of my VERY REAL trade-ins, a 2004 Ferrari F360. Very real, very pleased customers standing behind their top-shelf experiences with a very real dealership.
well...i started this whole thread...and finally came back..haven't bought anything from CNC but would have given them a chance based on the feedback here. i totally appreciate reading about the couple of negative experiences. It just makes the business seem real. Who the heck expects a business to please every single customer? sure not I. Whether John Roberts is real or not, i would not doubt that someone truly did experience what he has described. I know Cam comes onhere every now and then so maybe they can PM eachother and work things out. If Mr. Roberts reads this, thank you for sharing.
