Well, I gave to temptation and bought my first Ferrari this last week. It is a 2006 F430 red/tan 6 speed manual gated. It will be delivered to me this coming Wednesday Sep 25. The PPI report was good. There is a front rim that is slightly bent though. Seems that challenge style wheels tend to bend easily with any pot hole.
Anyone could tell me if there is a spare tire kit for the 430? Or should I for instance buy an extra front or rear wheel to be used as a spare? Does a front tire fit at rear? For emergency purpose only of course?
    Will post photos soon

    Thanks

    Edgar

    Edgar,
Welcome to the club, its full of people just like you that "fell for an F-Car! need to be carefull with either OEM rim style, not much side wall on the front tires to absorb pot holes. Spare tire eats up most of the luggage space on a 430. Not worth it IMHO.
    Enjoy the Ride,

Congratulations Edger, you should look for a wheel straightening service for that wheel. If it isn't too bad a good shop may get it back to as-new condition.

As mentioned, a spare wheel does take up most of the luggage space, they're not cheap either...nothing on a Ferrari is cheap, I thought I had lost my Service booklet the other day, as all will know it's just a booklet and probable costs a couple of pounds to print...Ferrari's price £440!

Anyway back to the wheel, I thought I was pretty safe with the repair compressor until my front rim went over a two inch stone and it ripped a hole in the tyre! I now have a spare:)

    Congrats on your 430 stick!

There are 2 different spares for the 430. One for a regular 430 and one for a Scud. I have a regular 430 but bought a Scud spare (fits bigger carbon ceramic brakes) so that if I decide to buy a Scud in the future, I won't have to buy another spare. I also bought a Ferrari jack but a regular scissors jack might also work.
The front tire will fit in the front trunk (I tried it) but unfortunately the rear won't.

    Enjoy!

If I buy a front wheel 7.5", will it fit at rear if I have a flat?

Yes, the spare for the regular 430 and the Scud are both space savers but with different rims (same tire). Here's my Scud spare.
