Those aren't coffins, they're the chambers that encase coffins when they're buried so water doesn't get in them. No one has confirmed yet that a FEMA contract is behind them.

these are called grave liners. Some are made of metal, some are concrete, and some are like these and made of fiberglass. The main purpose of a grave liner is for grave stability and protection from what we call graveside elements. Since there are concrete trucks clearly visible in the video I would imagine that this is a company that produces concerete and fiberglass graveliners. You're right the casket goes inside these and the two runners on the bottom part hold the casket slightly above the bottom of the liner. The domed top portion is then attached and the whole thing is then buried.

If FEMA was really looking to sanitarily dispose of 10's of thousands of bodies Doc's right cremation is easier, cheaper and more sanitary so there is no need for a graveliner, heck they wouldn't even fit in the cremation retort which is just slightly larger than a casket.

My guess is that the burial vault company ripped off a batch of fiberglass liners and is storing them in the field till they are needed. They don't run production on an as ordered basis with these things as it costs less to make them in large numbers than one by one.

... these would be sitting at Rainbow City, and FEMA would be run by the Umbrella corporation. ;)

When I said ripped off I didn't want to imply that the vault company heisted these things. What I meant is that they ran production on a large number of these things all at once. Don't want to fuel the conspiracy theorists...by looking on Google about this thing for about 5 seconds, it looks like the tin foil hat crowd really has their panties in a bunch over this video.
