Hi Does any one have a cross reference number for the front wheel bearings on 89 Testarossa. I searched the forums and could not find one for the front bearings. I appreciate any help in advance.
Not sure an exact cross reference was ever found. My very foggy recollection is that a similar bearing was found that was used on a Citroen (or some other European marque that isn't sold in the US), but something about the built-in seal wasn't quite the same. Have you tried searching on the F PN "112799" and reading those threads and the threads that they reference?
It was a purpose built bearing for Citroen. Ferrari adapted it to TR, F40, Mondial, 412 and 328. It is not a general purpose bearing and unlikely to be found inexpensively. They were not available for any price for a few years so feel lucky they can be bought at all. They are such a big bearing they can easily outlive the car but no one services them so they die from insufficient lubricant.
SKF 441696M is the correct bearing and the dimensions are ID 50 / OD 116 / W 33.8 Citroen part number is 95548976 and can be used for crossover to other available bearings
When looking at pictures of Citroen 95548976 the outer ring has 5 holes - Ferrari 112799 has 6. You might want to wait with the "buy now" button as this crossover may be just another pitfall. SKF 441696M on the other hand is pictured with 6 holes and corresponds with Ferrari 112799 - so this should be correct.
