Yeah, but not with one of those cheesy shop-bought things. A HTPC is the thing to have Once it's finished recording, I'll see if I can transcode it to DivX or something useful and put it somewhere you can download, if you want.
To be honest I thought that was disappointing, I mean Ferrari were the host marque and I barely saw any of them in action. A short glimpse of an F40 around a corner and not much else....a shame.
Funny you guys should mention VCRs. We had about 4 of them, and the last one died this week. I went to town yesterday looking for something to replace it - looks like a VHS / DVD combo is the way to go; perhaps a Sony? Walked over to a friend's place to tape the Classic Adelaide coverage, only for his HD Ch 10 reception to go up the creek by distorting / artefacting and cutting out repeatedly during the hour. GRRR Anyway, I would have preferred it if there was more Ferrari footage, especially considering it was a Ferrari themed event. I was hoping they'd show the F333SP, 550 GT, F50, XJ220, etc. It was nice to see Carl and Walther interviewed. Some great company during the rally.
The end bit (that I saw) seemed to be focussed mostly on the winning cars like the Porsches of Broadbent and Richards. The "host marque" thing doesn't seem to mean much to the racing action itself. Which is more interesting is debatable, but I agree there could have be more made of the Ferrari factor.
They showed a little of the silver 360 running in regularity... but the footage of that car in action was a little sad... no aggression at all... Maybe someone should convince Mr Weeks to run a Ferrari next year... if you can distract him from his Team Dynamik saviourdom long enough
I was very dissapointed in the Ferrari Coverage as well, especially seeing as it was a record number of Ferraris in one place in Australia. I did see myself three times however, so there's a small redemption there .
