Finally on sale the 166 serial number 015 S, a fantastic car bodied by "Carrozzeria Touring" from Milan at 1949.
Second owner Mr. Massimo Alesi, racer in the postwar years with various Alfa Romeo and owner, in that time, of the 6C 2500 Competizione ex J.M.Fangio.
The sister car 017 S was present at Mille Miglia 2011 with a british team.

017S is not exactly a sister car of 015S as it has a longer wheelbase.

Or may be we can call 017S "Big sister" of 015S...

Are the interior colors correct? Looks a bit modern coloration to me. Also the shift knob looks suspect but thers may know better.

Do we play find all the discrepancies? One of many, the gear shift knob looks to be light color in the original versus black now. Am thinking the ivory color type would have been used.

The photo does show that the leather was some sort of near white but since it is black and white can't determine if the red carpet is too bright or not.

Amazing Aardy, never cease to surprise me - to have a photo such as this. Do you also have an analytical report of the air in the tires ???? ( would not surprise me now if you did)

Saw the car at the same dealer in 2002 - dashboard was painted white and the body was painted in a brighter red.

The car was on sale at AutoSpeak in 2006. An article on Automobilismo d'Epoca (april 2006) said it was recently restored to the original conditions.

    Hello,

Did you also see the red 250 PF coupe on Roma plates? Do you know the chassis number?
The silver 330 GTC is 11107.

    Grazie!

    Ciao, Peter

    Quoting from the ad:
"The gearbox has well defined gates and is fully unsychronized providing a robust and rewarding operation to the skilled user."

I'm a little nervous of a fully unsycncronized gear box, never having driven one and am guessing i' m not going to be a deft double de-clutcher.
From when, and which model, did Ferrari start to have syncromesh ?

It isn’t that hard to learn. The 2-3 are quite rewarding if you get them right, 4th and 5th are very easy. Quite some gearboxes have been altered to synchro and I think the factory did it in the mid 50’s. But the first is easy as you don’t move yet, the upshifting and downshifting needs double clutching and with some feeling, trying, hearing and luck it does get easier. Actually quite fun having a gearbox without synchros...

    Ciao
