You can't imagine my enjoyment, turning on the TV and seeing that Ferrari was first and second on poll for the first grand prix of the season. Okay, we didn't come first, but second is okay. There's something about watching the G.P and seeing your team doing so well after a miserable year, last year. It's only early days, but what a joy. And to think...........not a Lambo or Zonda in sight. Am I the only Ferrari owner here, that is so proud to be part of an exclusive motor racing marque? With a history in motor racing that far outways any Zonda or Lambo.

    1st Welcome to Sunday.

2nd Why do you have to bring this up everytime? Its like u have to prove yourself or your cars.

If I go buy a Reno tomorrow will I fell just an exclusive? How about a Ford with a Cosworth motor? or even a Honda?

Lambo and Pagani dont have much motor racing history(well lambo does in offshore boats haha) but that doesnt not make them any less special.

Because everytime I go on this sight, I feel like I have to make excuses as to why I am so passionate about Ferrari's. And that no one else can understand why I just couldn't care less about any other car brand. Am i the only one that has the name Ferrari "in the blood". Ferrari's to me, have a soul. They are just not another car brand. I saw a yellow Lambo on the weekend, and I have to honest, I first thought of this sight and all the bullsh1t that goes on about lambo's etc. etc. Secondly, I thought that the car I saw, just did nothing for me. It was like a giant mechno set with bits stuck on everywhere. The car had NO soul. And thirdly, this is a Ferrari chat-sight. How come I'm the only one on here that has mentioned the GP , AND 2 Ferrari's on poll. I think I have a passion that no one else understands.

There is a Racing section where this sort of chatting carries on.
It's probably why. That doesn't mean we can't talk about it here as well :)

Spot on. No other car I've owned felt as much like a living bit of history. It's a marque you're proud to be associated with, even when newer and faster cars come along. After all the Vectors, Zondas and Masers are gone and forgotten, Ferrari will still be Ferrari.

Well see, you seem to be mentioning Zonda or Lambo every 2nd post these days soo it seems you do care.

Do you actually cheer Schumie/Ferrari on every lap at a racetrack or u happy to sit in a corp box waiting for the final lap/overtake b4 celebrating? Cause I celebrate every lap, even when Schumie is coming last, every lap he drives past I go mental on the stands, soo that should mean Im more passionate then you about Ferrari even tho I dont currently own a Ferrari....

I have Italian blood and been to Italy almost a dozen times and Im sorry but the majority of Italians love all Italian Car Manufacturers. Be it Ferrari come race day or Lambo in the streets. And it seems only Ferrari owners are the ones that claim they are the "only passionate" yet always need to prove they are passionate and belittle other Italian marques.

I dont understand why you think u need to prove to us you have a passion for Ferrari's, it seems evident you have a passion.

The best F1 race I have ever been to is still Monza98, Ferrari 1-2 200,000 fans cheering Schumie to victory and Im guessing less than 1% actually owned a Ferrari but it doesnt make them any less passionate about Ferrari.

i love ferraris, but i'm a car slut and don't really care overall about a badge, i'm more into the individual cars. ferrari have half a dozen cars that i'd really love to have, many of the others are just nice sportscars as far as i'm concerned. so for me it's not about blindly following one company's vision of what a car should be, it's about appreciating the best no matter who made it.

you ask us why we hang around on a ferrari website if we want to talk about other stuff... why do you hang around the aussie section if you don't want to talk about stuff that aussie ferrari owners and enthusiasts like to talk about?

anyhoo Gil, i understand, i'm just not you! :)

Probably next year, the 2007 599GTC. He may have to take his missus in the F40 again to butter her up so she lets him bring the 599 home,IF he decides to get one? :p Unreal! What a champ! :D

This is a passion that isn't about money. My first car was a $57500 365 BB. My second car was a $59000 308 GTS. I had 2 jobs trying to pay these both cars off. At one stage I had to let the finance company repossess the 308 because I couldn't afford $1500 per month in payments. I voluntarily let them have the 308, because there was a clause in the contract, that if I let them take the car and still paid them money, (albeit late), they had to keep the car on my behalf. I finally caught up with the payments and still own both cars. This is part of my life and a part of who I am. This is passion. This is not, about who has the latest, greatest, most expensive model, this is about passion and the love of your car. No matter what Ferrari model it is. I know members of the club who can only afford a 308, but they have a love for their car, and maybe the hard times OR, the memories of how they got that car. NOW there are those, who only want to have the latest model, because that's the BIG EGO thing, to have the best and latest model to impress their friends. That's not Passion, that's bullsh1t, that's what that is. I sat and watched the GP on TV and was very proud to be a person who has had a 27 year love affair with his favorite brand of car. As I've said before, when you meet the perfect woman, you don't need to meet another one.

    that would make you a "poll"cat :D

I don't consider anything other than a Ferrari as a car, one red eye one white eye one green eye and one brown eye ...... biased ??!! you bet!

it's either in the blood or not, if not no-one else will understand, if it is no need to say anymore, we know, and we're buggered because it's all you can think about :D

I do love my fiat 2300s but if one has to go it will be the fiat , the fazz makes you feel good everytime you get in it, and if any car should be special to me it's the 2300 as I personally rebuilt that car from the ground up and it will hurt when it goes to someone else

Ferrari almost sold to Ford and did sell to FIAT which almost sold to GM. If they werent owned by FIAT which in turn gets concessions from the Italian Government, Ferrari would of died a long long time ago. Also Sultan of Brunei used to put alot of money into the Ferrari F1 Team soo its not as clean cut as you make it out.

Lambo was 1st sold to the Americans then Indo's then finally Audi, not really much to do with Lambo selling soul directly to Germans more to do that Megatech went under due to well, we all know what happened to his dad...

What would you do if the following happened?

You are sitting in front of the TV at 12.30 am watching a Grand Prix.

It's the first corner and both Ferrari's are knocked out.

    Do You:

    1. Watch the rest of the race.

    Or

    2. Tape the race and watch it some other time bacause while you like F1 it's not worth staying up all night if the Ferrari's are out. (Me)
