Gotta be either Felipe or Kimi. Opinions?

IMO: Massa will continue for at least the one year.

    Don't we mean 2014?

For 2013 we know it is Massa.

As of yesterday, October 11, Massa still has no contract for 2013. Being so late in the season, why not?

    Massa with no surprise.

Very bad management anyways, waiting so long to sign him is putting unnecessary pressure
on him, which is bad for his driving.

And if they want to get rid of him just get on with it so the guy can find another team.

It's either Massa or Hulkenburg. My money's on Massa.

My vote is Massa for 2013 but not further than that. Heike is not good enough to support Fernando.

Ferrari only care about Alonso and the chemistry works with Massa.......I'm the number 1 Massa fan but trying not to be biased.........Who else is there that wont threaten Alonso but is quicker than Massa and that will fit into the Maranello mould........Hulkenburg, Di Resta ? I dont think so. If Massa keeps up his pace of the last few races he has to be their man.......It just worries me that Ferrari seem hesitant to confirm him......One has to ask why ?

Au contraire - waiting to sign him or not is excellent for his driving - the two most recent races have been his best in two years! Maybe he needs that sort of pressure - in which case, they shouldn't announce anything for 2013 until after Brazil... And then they should put him on a renewing 1 race at a time contract for 2013, where the drive for the next race depends on the previous race result! :D Really ramp up the pressure, that seems to be the only way to get a decent drive out of Massa nowadays.

As for Massa finding another team if Ferrari don't keep him - I seriously doubt any of the other teams would want him. How about you name a team that might?

IMO they are on par and both would want # 1 status...... Agree perfect combination but it would never work

IMO, Kimi doesn't get all wound up in #1 status. Look at 08-09, Massa was obviously #1 but Kimi didn't ***** in the media/throw tantrums and still showed up and drove well.

His personality would mesh well as a #2 to Alonso. I also think the delayed Massa announcement is due to Ferrari working with Kimi's management.

Kimi himself wants to win races. He would have a better chance of that in a Ferrari than a Lotus.

Ok but Ferrari also want to win championships so they have a better chance with Alonso/Kimi.

Now that Sauber has an empty seat I think it has Massa's name on it..

2nd place finish in Suzuka wasn't enough..

    Do they?
Alonso does not react well to a strong #2. In this case one plus one may not equal two.

It's not just Alonso and Ferrari. The trend these days is away from top tier teams with equal drivers. With Hamilton leaving McLaren only RB is sticking with anything resembling that model.

I think the issue is the length of contract. Webber seems to be the only driver happy to take it 1 year at a time so of course they have been offering him the seat. Where as most other drivers want 3+year options*.

I wouldn't be surprised that it's actually Massa holding off.

Maybe Kobi can make the move

Kimi is no where near Alonso level, no where.

Kimi lacks consistency because he is rarely motivated. You can see this again with Lotus. First few races everybody was talking Kimi, but then the old Kimi returned.

I'm so disgusted by Ferrari holding on to Massa that I choose to simply ignore #2. It's team Alonso for me until they get a worthy second driver.

Not that much slower than Alonso.

Maybe there was something to him having test bits up til now.
