I know it doesn't look like one, but been told that this car is actually a 250 GTO which at birth was goven a different body, requested by first owner. Anybody know if this is true or not?

It is more likely that the rest of the car has become a GTO. Well, sortof anyway.

Pininfarina Coupe 1751GT was started by Pininfarina on 22/01/60. Some claims of having been ordered with special body mods have been made, but I as no docs seem to exist confirming this, I assume is is just another poor PF Coupe hot rodded with closed headlights and fender vents. Best wishes, Kare

I purchased an 1963 250 GTO, but wanted something a little different too, so I commissioned a special body. I am willing to sell it for $25 million ($2 million less that the going rate, so the new owner can re-body it back to look like a "standard GTO").

Just PM my and I will send you my Paypal account information so you can make payment. Picture of car with current body and paint attached below. It is in very good condition!

I might consider it if it were the more upscale "Charleston" GTO! Fred

Whoa, you are such a liar! Look at the front and rear track in the photo. Hello? A little narrower than a real GTO chassis? I may have been born at night, but I wasn't born last night.

I'm calling the BBB, AAA, AARP, and the SSBI (Secondary School of Bureau Investigators. Very strict).

Pretty please............

Is not the one from Bardinon or Lauren, but a super secret chassis with this very special body that has been hidden for many years. Was so secret that this car was not even in the first edition of Merrit Fitzgerald. Suspension is very long travel for plush ride, unlike the very harsh ride of the other GTOs. Chassis number has been personally inspected by Olczyk and he will be writing a book about this car very soon. I am currently working with the Classiche on the certification and expect this car to run in the Historics later this year (yes, it is eligible). Paint color is "Verde del vomito della scimmia". I do hope even if you buy this fantastic car and re-body it back to standard GTO body, you will keep the long travel suspension and keep the color original.
