there are no other items from this seller

this what you have seen is what other people also had a look at ( the 355 engine and the subframe ), but those are not from the same seller

this one who can read has a clear advantage ;)

The seller of the supposed chassis/engine is selling two books as well. These are the three items he is selling. The one who knows how to use eBay knows what he’s talking about.

Now disappeared but I am guessing I already know who the vendor is and if it is proven to be him, don't want to know more lol.

    LOL :D

The Ebay poster has created a mystery for turbo-joe and Ti[M(x)]y but not for @crinoid and me.
I will explain with pictures. If you click on the OP's link you will find the 'chassis'. If you move to the right of the page to 'Seller information' and click on 'See other items' you will find two books listed by the same author.
    See below.

    I would also make two comments about the Seller;
    1. interesting choice to make your eBay ID a bunch of numbers. I guess 'Anonymous' was already taken.
    2. the feedback for that profile is 90%. It's all relative but at least historically, 90% was NOT a good feedback number.
Just my opinion, of course, on these two points.

    Dave

It appears you are clicking on the seller ID.
I am using a different method. While still on the chassis listing page, I move my cursor down below the seller ID to 'See other items' and click there.
This takes me through to the second page that I displayed above. It features the two books and the chassis.

That said, I also tried clicking directly on the seller ID.
When I clicked on the seller ID I also received a result of the chassis and two books (all 3 items).

So I cannot explain why you or Tim would have a different result than I had or crinoid had.
We are all in different countries. I don't know what effect that has.
I am using Safari browser, if that makes a difference.

The only conclusion I can reach is that it must be the website itself.

Meanwhile Alberto @swift53 has the real (important) question... the provenance(?). I have nothing to contribute other than judging by the results I reference with my screen capture pictures, I will let some other brave fellow spend his money calling the seller.
As he insists in the ad you have to call him in Belgium (although chassis is in Nice) because, "I will not respond to email as these parts are too special".
    Mmm. Hmmm. ;):confused::eek::rolleyes:o_O:D

No, no books for me either.

I clicked seller ID, then items for sale - nothing at all, not even the chassis!

I suspect that "too special" is Belgian for "non-existent". What a tosser.

Hi all, and greetings from Belgium.
Given that the ebay lister put a Belgian mobile nbr, I called him and this is the story I got:
    - engine was sold the first day he advertised it, so no further details (VIN).
    - chassis is still available and he wants 50.000 EUR for it. He claims also to have more other Ferrari chasis and relevant documentation, but did not ask further about that.
    Cheers,
    Frank

I see a little difference between "was selling" with a complete sale or without.
in my country we say "was selling" if the item has been sold. if the item not has been sold then we say "wanted to sell" or "try/tried to sell". "was selling" means a sucessfull sale for me. "was selling" is the past. if you would have written "is selling" instead of "was selling" it would be much clearer for me;)

And there you have it, I recall a decade or more back when the seller was writing his Alfa Romeo TZ-1 book and he threatened anyone that disagreed with legal action and eventually sued a poster on another forum who deigned to claim that his business dealings were not fair at all. I have no problems with people that deal in cars AND write books but when the ability to make money from your dealing clouds your ability to reliably judge whether a car is original or a fake!!!!! Now if anyone cares to check out the Other Italian forum https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/forums/other-italian.8 and read any Bizzarini threads you will find the same person hasn't gotten any better with age. Every Bizzarini is either definitely fake or very real and his mastery of frequently changing avatars to circumvent bans is still on point. Finally lets not forget that for decades Belgium (along with Austria) was (possibly still is?) the centre of the fake car industry in Europe.

There are also some interesting comments relating to rally cars on other forums. A similar theme throughout...

I think he (or one of his id's) is banned on here...

Romano, you say Tomato I say Tomatoe, strictly semantics. In your country you speak German, in my country we speak English.
This, is an English speaking site, so difficult to adjust to all the world's different languages and their nuances.

Does it matter? No. But you are right, I take your grammar lessons in stride, and shan't commit the same opprobrious butchery again.
    Sehr gut mein herr?

    I was selling my house.
Now I have changed my mind and I am not selling it.
    My house was not sold.

The first statement is correct. All the statements could be correct.

I know that many things on Ferrari-Chat are "lost in translation". It does not matter and we can all see what happened with the Dino engine by looking at eBay. I would love to know why I cannot see the books either though! :)

Has anyone compared the details in the pictures of the chassis with a real SWB chassis?
