What a shame I see this first now. I live 2min from the hotel and would have loved to see your car. My garage was right around the corner we could have gone out with the 275 GTB/4 and your TDF! Such a pity!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My fault.

    Yes thank you!

    Here is the mileage estimate:

Home to wide world 30 miles
Wide world to JFK. 45 miles
Jfk to Luxembourg. 3,761 miles by air
Luxembourg to Heathrow 373 miles by truck
Heathrow to DK 20 miles by truck
DK to Maranello 1,200 miles by car
Maranello to DK 944 miles direct by truck
DK to Heathrow 20 miles by truck
    Heathrow to JFK 3,443 miles
Jfk to Wide World 45 miles

    Total miles 9,881

You are right not fully around the world but about 40% of the earth's 24,900 mile circumference. Still quite a journey!

I have a 2-post in my garage and love it. Even for simple stuff - it's great to not lay on the floor anymore ;)

Looks great. Damn I should have put one in when I built the garage, to jackhammer the foundation down 6 feet or whatever would now be a huge job.

Shoulda coulda woulda..... The song of my life ;)

I really, really want to blow the back of my garage out to make it double deep. It's really my only good option to increase the size. If I do that, I'd relocate my lift which would mean the vaulted (after thought and work) ceiling would be a waste. This has been an awesome story.

There are some great threads on Ferrari Chat about "what did you do today in your car that no one else did", "did you drive your car today, I did!" etc.

    This, though, has been epic.

What did you do with your 250 GT LWB?

    Drove to NY.
    Flew it to Europe.
    Trucked it to England.
    Put it in a show.
    Drove to Italy.
    Wiped it down.
    Put it in a show.
    Flew car home.

    Will anyone ever beat this?

Very sad that I did not see any of the above, although I had hoped to.

    Robert

Thank you Robert. Quite honestly it felt epic. Every second in the car was fun and the scenery was amazing. I was so lucky with the weather, it was virtually perfect with barely any rain. Sideways rain for 2,000 km wouldn't have been quite so epic!
