Looking for period photos and any information on 1956 Ferrari 250 GT Zagato #0689GT. Had some racing history back in Italy in the day. All help would be greatily appreciated.

    Michele Marchiano's Ferrari by Zagato.

Photo of 0869 on page 26.

On page 150 the reis a short paragraph about 0689:

Chassis NO 0689 GT di Vittorio De Micheli (I guess he was the first owner.)
Gear Box type 508?B 20 with number 278.
The other characteristics the same as the previous similar models.

There are many other photos in the book, but seldom are the chassis numbers specified.

Not one of the prettier Zagatos. Prefer the altered body without the heavey bumpers

Thanks for the photos Ed, I don't think I've seen those before. I have the Ferrari by Zagato book which has been helpful. I am still looking for more period photos from the 1950's prior to some body modifications.

    Hello Everybody,

the Zagato 0689 was owned by my cousin Umberto Filotico in 1960. He had an accident and decided to change the front shape in Pininfarina-style. Now I know the car has been recently restored to the original shape.

Does anyone have any pictures of this car in 1960? I would be very grateful for this.

My cousin died some years ago... he had a lot of pictures about his career as gentleman driver with Lancia, Maserati, Coper and Ferrai cars. But I am not sure his son still owns this stuff, I will try to contact him.

    thank you!

    Nino Filotico

I remember this car from the 1983 FCA Annual Meet in Kohler. Charlie brought this one and his wife Janet had her own 246.
