Good question F, I am having mine replaced now (328). Still enough thread but 8 years old. There was another thread discussing this issue, don't remember where. I believe tyres should be replaced every 6 years.
I cannot see the two blue binders "GTO Spare Parts Catalogue #331/84" or the "GTO Service Time Schedule #350/85". BTW: There's a 288 GTO coming up for auction at Gooding's in Scottsdale/AZ 17th January 2009. Marcel Massini

54799 was sold some years ago "PF - DV 288" 53777 was sold too. "CW - FI 288" But doesn't know where these cars where sold to. Maybe still in Germany?? I don't collect the S/N. Just know the owners name or where the cars are located. 52473 is gone? It's the car with number plate A - 07353. Doesn't think so.
56337 (the ex Alf Gooding and recent RM London car) is now up for sale with Cars International Ltd of Kensington, London. Paul
This one was burnt in Germany. I don't know where the remains are today... and if it was possible to rebuild it ? Olivier
Dr. Peter Erhard's 53321 was heavily damaged in a fire due to a technical problem on the German motorway A5 (February 2001). Erhard escaped unhurt. The wreck was sent to Autofficina Franco Toni in Maranello. I saw and photographed it several times. It can be rebuilt, no doubt. Damage was mainly to the rear and passenger compartment. They say the owner of this car is a man of great means & influence... This is 55721, the 163rd GTO built, Classiche Certified, with just 6,000km from new, and belonging to an F-Chatter. Interestingly, its unique UK-registration "308 GTO" was originally (1986) on Colin Briggs' chassis number 56759, the 207th car. Image Unavailable, Please Login
