They certainly are raw, and the exhaust system has a real fabricated-on-the-fly look. I must commend you on an oil filler cap perfectly aligned with the bodywork. I find both the gas cap and the oil filler cap will go out of whack if they are pressed upon whilst wiping the car down. As for the front hood, only the most persistent ever get it properly aligned!
This isn't quite like mine. Mine came with the yellow/gray/blue hammer, and green top/black bottom without the ROTOR on the green top. There are pictures of this somewhere on the 288 thread. Or, I can take another picture and re-post. Steve
Bought by an Australian but doubt it would have been imported, would probably cost over A$300,000 in taxes to do that and no rebate if re-exported. And it cannot be registered, (LHD). Our Gov't has no mercy on limited edition historic collectibles if they run on 4 wheels. No Luxury Tax to pay on a top end boat or 'plane though, very well thought out policy !!
If you'll be Touring Europe in the GTO, make sure EPA & DOT papers are in order for the re-entry, or you could experience a bad day at customs... speaking of touring, here is a Japanese GTO registered "2 88" that is alleged to have in excess of 100,000 km on it.
