Clearly I come from the school of 'less is more' so not much takes my fancy amongst modern exotics other than the Supercars themselves which are always interesting.

Single mirrored Testarossa. Nice! Photo taken at the Mugello track..?

    Now that you mention it...

Would be nice to see how well spread the GTO's are around the globe: from Italy to North America and from South Africe to New Zealand. Any map available Joe?

    At Fiorano.

I try & keep a detailed register. Interesting statistics. 3 cars in SA. Only 1 in NZ, etc etc. But, no map!

I JUST get off of work and this is the first car I see on FChat. Suddenly, I know what it's all for! :) Amazing pics!

    Thank you.

Looking at those pics I made, I am grateful for being able to live in Southern California close to the Pacific. The pics were made at exactly 945 in the morning, and the sun was already shining and the skies were clear and crisp. Within 3 minutes of making them, I was behind the wheel of that GTO on Pacific Coast Highway. How can I complain?

    I actually have that somewhere.

FWIW the image was shot by Steve Napolitano in the winter of 1985/86 and it was taken in Danbury Connecticut at Dick Fritz's place. The five 288 GTOs are newly-Federalized cars.

Drove my 288 GTO to an FOC breakfast and blasted around a bit on the way there and back. There is no road car IMO that is as much fun to drive. Put about 200kms on the car this morning and simply could not be happier. My wife, who has quite some experience in supercars, rates the 288 GTO number one of all the cars I have ever owned

What could possibly be the fun of owning 4? Just wondering.

Excellent. I think our wives should speak!

It is definitely the most usable, with the best visibility from within the cockpit of all 4 of the Supercars. The most rewarding too, because its light weight means it is very 'alive' and lots of fun to drive, especially when those turbos spool up (you'd better be pointing straight!)
Great ground clearance and nice appointments within add to its charm. Its a very inviting car, almost calling out for you to drive it.

    Overkill, I agree.

I think there was some speculation at play.

Thank you Joe. At least you have options if you own 4: take the one out with the red inserts, or the one with the AC, or the one with the AC and electric windows :D:D:D

Agree completely. The light weight means a lot. I am also enjoying my 993RS lately for exactly the same reason.
