    A GTO was built & supplied with neither, and nowadays owners typically want them the way they left Maranello, which, thankfully, is not difficult to do.

    I always thought it was interesting that Gentry Lane in Toronto Canada received a 288 GTO. That model (with red trim!) arrived in July 1985 and could not be registered for street use. Still the factory allocated them one car from that limited production series.

    You'll find that the Gentry Lane GTO was a private import by a single individual purchased direct from Maranello, and not a factory-supplied Ferrari SpA concessionaire stock or showroom car. In the USA & Canada, a GTO needed to be brought into compliance by the party who intended to road-register the car.

    Agreed, these aftermarket side-markers have no redeeming qualities whatsoever, and they only serve to disupt the subtle lines that form the GTO's beauty.

    True, but it is easy to get rid of them.
