A book where you can read what you never read before about the 288 GTO (and the F40 too) English version within some months. ciao Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great stuff in there Alberto! Love seeing new books and pics I've never seen before!!! I loved Materrazi's part.
Thank you very much for your appreciation: I'm glad to hear that two years of work weren't worthless. The English version will have an enhanced 288 GTO chapter, with one more page than the Italian one. Trust me that it wasn't easy at all to add something new talking about cars (GTO and F40) that have already been very well described on hundreds of different books since 30 + years. ciao
I have been a member here for 9 years. I have learned so very much reading various comments about excellent Ferrari’s. I have come to respect one and all with various bits of information and details. So many wonderful cars to discuss. However, one that has become my favorite is the 288 GTO. While I have a 430 Spyder and a 330 I have learned to respect the 288 and how it was developed. In my quest to learn more I have collected many books and publications about the 288. Many articles written are done so with the writers either test driving the car or using facts and info provided to them. Few have first hand knowledge like the book written by Jurgen Lewandowski who wrote his book just after the car was released. He was quick to recognize the importance of the 288 back in 1984/85 and was able to get some incredible first hand information. That book is extremely hard to find and expensive when you do locate one. Through a friend I have been able to get an early release of a new Ferrari book I highly recommend. It is written by a member here, Albert-LP. This book captures previously unknown details about several Ferraris with great stories from those that lived the actual building and designing of the cars!! Specifically, the 288 GTO got my attention with some incredible previously never heard of details and facts. How Materazzi got into heated discussions with Enzo, how a prototype came back to life, how he personally killed the turbo version with carburetors and so much more! An incredible read!
That's awesome. Here's a selection of the magazines I've collected over the years Image Unavailable, Please Login
I remember getting that issue off the stands, it was Ferrari overload, at the end of his life Enzo must have been proud.
