Exactly, and this is why 288 GTOs with radios have different brands used as the radios were installed post-production. However, many GTO owners declined to install any radio, we have encountered and sold many GTOs with blank plates in place of a radio, our own 56331 had a radio blank plate even though it had electric windows and air-conditioning.
I searched this thread, but could not find any clear info. Are 308 steering wheels identical in looks to the 288 GTO steering outside of the horn bezel and perhaps production dates on the back? I got inside a 288 GTO last week. Even touched the steering wheel . It looks identical to the 308 steering wheel I have. Just curious as I do have one in good condition I am looking to sell. Could be a nice option for 288 owners looking to preserve their original steering wheels.
I believe it's a Momo montecarlo. 308s first had a brushed silver Momo, then a Nardi for the GBTi and GTS, and the 328s all had montecarlos. From what I recall in the US, not sure if spec was diff worldwide
Montecarlos are similar, but aren’t it. Montecarlos have humps. These steering wheels are Ferrari specific if you analyze the details, but based off a general Momo design.
That's GTO 58137 which we sold from the USA to the UK, and then again later to France. It's a Concours D'Elegance award-winning GTO under the auspices of Ferrari SpA. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's 58137 on another Maranello visit, images supplied by my client. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
