FERRARI 288 GTO

This is very interesting, they are stating the car was purchased from the original owner in 2021.

 

54789:
1st owner was in Viersen, Germany (got it 11 April 1985).
2nd owner was in the French Dept. Le Var in France (March 1991).
3rd owner was in Bitburg, Germany (1995).
4h owner was in Cologne, Germany (he bought it 2000). Kept it till 2021. I inspected it at his place 22 February 2021.
Owners 2, 3 and 4 are/were all personally known to me.

I do have some interior shots where one can see the mould and stains. It's really unfortunate, that underground car park was just not the right place and not well equipped and there were more than 20 Ferraris parked there for 2 or more decades. I felt very sorry for the owner, a very old man, who had lost his son under rather tragic circumstances.

Very nice man and family. I sold him a 250GTO rebody built by Greg Jones of Stuart Florida and traveled to Bitburg to meet him. Wonderful collection at the time.

 

He passed away in 2013.

Just got off the phone with them. Car has been completely serviced by Ferrari Orlando and they have sent all documentation to Italy for classiche. They are waiting on red book once verified. They are asking 6.5 million.

 

940 miles only.....6.5M$ optimistic.

When I inspected 54789 in Germany 22 February 2021 the ask was Euro € 3'200'000.
My client had sent me a private jet to fly from ZRH to CGN for the inspection, it was still Covid time and we had to wear masks.
