I got to sit in this 296 today at Tampa Ferrari. I was dropping my 488. It has race seats and they are awesome. I sat in the launch car on tour that had the regular seats but being 6’5” 225lbs I had zero head room. Just way too tight. These seats give me a little more more head room. Still not as comfortable as my 488 or friends F8 with race seats is even more perfect…but I fit sort of in the 296. Hopefully my dealer will let me drive the 296. This is their demo but they’ve never really willing to let me drive the demo’s unfortunately. Fingers crossed! Image Unavailable, Please Login

Months go by and I get to look at dozens of pictures, but... this is still a terrible livery, not sure how people like it!
This was the special Assetto Firano version for the dealerships demo car and I am not sure if there are options for other stripes or no stripes. My service guy got the keys to let me sit in it as I was interested in the race seats. Isn't the 296GTB sold out? No more new orders? Now they are selling the GTS version. Anyway what ever it all is it was nice to be able to sit in this particular model and experience the new race seats.
I guess the livery is ultimately optional. Though it must be quite popular as we've seen it in many cars. My issue is how come so popular as I feel it doesn't suit the car, at all.
I am thinking of doing same when I get mine Feb end / Mar beginning. When are u getting yours and what kind of wrap are u thinking? I am thinking glossy black wrap to mimic bi-color factory option that was not available when I ordered. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Black wheels from factory? I don’t recollect black wheels as an option unless u choose carbon rims. Atelier option? Would love to know more as I plan to powder coat my wheels glossy black. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Interesting question. I was talking about the looks. Driving-wise I drove our dealer’s demo quite a few times before deciding on getting one and I knew I loved it already. Even so, I am loving it more the more I drive it!
Nice spec and definitely not the worst view of this car. But am I the only one that feels yellow calipers are awfully clashing there??
Not getting mine for a while. But yes definitely a glossy black and I’ll be ppf’ing the black exterior plastic in that same black. Desired look similar to Mclaren’s black pack. I didn’t do any exterior carbon.

Im not sure I follow the criticism- admittedly, I am not in your level of knowledge. I think the idea is to minimize the visual weight of the mirrors? Are you saying it would be better to go with a body color mirror or, is it the mirror design itself?
I agree with John - if they intended it to be black on every car they should have mounted it at the A-pillar like the 360, otherwise mounting it in the door panel, just make it match the color of the paint. I just asked my salesman and he is not aware of an option to paint them body color. I assume some wrapped cars will eventually make it match.
My level of knowledge is meaningless at this point. , but yes, I would much rather have them bodycolor. I inquired about that when ordering my 296 but the cost to me was not worth it. On light colored cars, the black base just stands out like a sore thumb to my eye. The reverse, having the base bodycolor and the top portion black would have made more sense to me. Then from side view the top portion would ‘blend in’ with the darker glass and the base would be integral with the bodycolor. Just an opinion, no more, no less, and we all know about opinions.
That makes sense. I think Frank Stephenson said something similar in his video. To my eyes I'd see the top in black but the bottom in body color as missing the top, but I dont have any training
