How the HELL is the bid up to $33,600??? BTW, I have e-mailed and called this seller several times about other cars that they have listed in the past and they NEVER respond.

I think that's because they want you to subscribe to their service. Has anyone here ever subscribed to Auto Source?

Engine won't turn over. Sounds like water in the cylinders. I'll give him 5k.

    Yeah, I threw my $10.
They send you a list of junkyard websites, many of which but not all have various "specialty" vehicles. Not worth it, I never did get any information on the car I was looking at. Do they send you to readytofix.com for free?

Your gonna pay to much. I think I would want them to give me 5K to take it away. I would belive that the visible water damage indicates that there are not to many salvagable parts in that car.

I have seen the TR they have on E-bay a few times.
They are asking $19,900 for it, it bid up to $24k or so and yet they still have it?

What is up with the bidding? That doesn't seem right for a street flood damaged car with a salvage title. You can get an awesome non salvaged 308 for that price or even a 328.

That car must have some drugs hidden inside it for the bidding to go that high...

I'll sneak over there, bust open the trunk, and take the stash of Kruegerrands, and then it'll only be worth 5k. I got dibs on the console switches and escutcheons!

Well since I read your post before you edited it I will reply. Yes I am still crusing Ferrari ads. I am looking for a nice car and I am willing to search until I find one. I am not interested in buying one with accident history for $22,500, especially when you went out of your way to tell everyone that you paid less than $10k for it. And as another member of the board pointed out "everyone in your target audience knows this". I am not sure why you seem to have such a problem or dislike for me, or what prompted your posting but you seem awfully bitter. Good luck on selling your car and there is more to life than money.

Most of these "cars" are already gone, salvaged, or otherwise crushed by the time they post this stuff

These people are in the business to scam web sight pass fees instead
of selling salvage cars. A few years ago they (autosource?) posted a red
328 gts theft recovery on ebay as a hook to get people to pay for passage to their
web site. I fell for it and all I got was a list of links to salvage yards
nationwide with no link to the 328. I spent hours looking at each yards
inventory list but there was no 328 to be found. I probably wasn't the only
sucker to fall for this scam.

think about it...if in fact they do have the car, i wouldn't doubt some sucker is going to fall for it and buy it...'there's a sucker born every minute'-W.C. Fields.

Is it possible that there is no car, it is an ad for a web site? Then the "bidders" are the seller or the sellers friend/family, they can bid anything they want...or since most of the 42,000,000+ registered ebay users have no idea what the car is worth, it's a ferrari 308, trashed 2vi or clean QV, they don't know what they're looking at. So put the price up, so there is more temptation of quick money to the people who see the web site promising a 308 for $15k????

i deleted that i posted because i was wrong. i was pissed about something else before i even got online. bitter, no, the fact that you are missing is :

    1) no matter if the car is free i will get market value for it, $18k, $22k whatever. i have sold trans ams and Z28 camaros for more than that.

    2) i have been very upfront and honest with all here on fchat, the damage , the repairs ect. the car has MANY new parts and MANY MODS. it runs and drives great. i am bored to tears with it now. i wont sell something with known problems and NOT tell someone. i love cars, but i am never going to be the type to keep just 1 for very long. i have had over 140 and counting.

    3) you were nasty, threatening and insulting to me when you Pmed me 2 TIMES about selling the car. no i will not sell it cheap. it does not matter what i paid for it or if the car was free. i will chop it up into little xmas tree toys,, or take T Rutlands up on thier standing offer. i have enough vintage Z28 and Super Duty / Ram Air trans am crap to retire off of. the 308 is a fun car. a toy. big deal. i want a carb Boxer, or a Daytona coupe. ????

    4) sorry i responded to your thread earlier. thats why i deleted it. BUT YOU pmed me twice first about the car before it was advertised. then you beat up on me about what i paid for it. so what dont buy it. i could care less if it sells. it took 18 months to sell the last trans am i had. old cars are " AS IS WHERE IS" always will be. rant over .

The price someone pays for a car or anything elce for that matter is "Their Deal". The question I always ask is what is my deal? Is it good for me? This man sounds like a very honest and open seller. If he weren't you would not know as many details about his car. So would you rather deal with someone who will hide the facts, or someone who will inform you of the facts and tell you the truth?
I would have called him if my deal on a 308 had not gone through last week.

I am impressed and appreciate you saying you are sorry. You say I was nasty, threatening and insulting, if you really think so I apologize. I don't know why you would say threatening or nasty but it is not worth an arguement. We all have bad days and can be misunderstood. I guess we should leave it at this and I wish you luck selling it and hope you get the price you want.
