Ferrari 308 GTB 1/18 Custom Model Rally

Hello, all. I am a serious model collector with a few hundred 1/18 models consisting of mostly older european race cars... I have several racing versions many, many Ferraris but I seldom am satisfied with models that anyone else can purchase, so every now and then, I treat myself to some custom made ones.

I frequent the Bring a Trailer website, which is addictive, and first found out about Makela Tuning out of Finland - Company - MAT

When I first saw a flared out, Alitalia sponsored 308, and with beautiful Stratos wheels to boot, I was in lust.

Being that realistically, I will never be able to afford one, I did the next best thing and contacted my friend Jürgen Dötsch, out of Germany, to see if he could build me one from scratch since he really specializes in making models of all things Porsche. He looked into it, and always being up for a challenge, Jürgen and I decided ultimately to make the world's first 1/18 model of a Ferrari 308 Rally car using a base 308 model, and then having to also purchase a Stratos model for several parts. The flares are handmade and the model actually is detailed even in the interior with a racing seat, roll cage, etc.

I have several models from Jürgen as he's simply very, very talented. I just wanted to pass his info along in case others like me would like to purchase one. He can do anything to any model - put your name, car number, change graphics, delete/add parts - it really is art! I just got delivery of it, being that I am also a Porsche guy and he was completing another custom order for me in that marque. If you are a 308 owner, or like me, just a hobbyist that likes cool stuff, I'd consider getting one these (or feel free to request another custom one be built to your liking).
