I just popped something up on the watch thread - but perhaps this was the place. Interested in learning more about this- thanks
Haven't seen this one before... looks pretty homemade and od course it is not an officially licensed product. I have another one which mimics the 308 clock... nothing special, but somehow funny. Robert The Ferrari 308 GTB Register Image Unavailable, Please Login
Motochron still has a website somewhere.. I think they made a watch that had Porsche 911 fonts as well..
That pic reminds me of an ad in Playboy back in the late 70's. I hadn't thought about it since then until I saw that.
You can still buy the watch - its about $200 US from Motochron in Germany. I have the 308 watch, I wear it once in a while, its pretty cool and very un obtrusive.
They had produced a 328 Watch also; one was for GTB, one for GTS. If my memory, etc...the dial looked like the 328 speedo style. I stupidely missed the only one I ever saw, on E-Bay Germany years ago. Rgds
Just for clarity, the OP is talking about this watch he posted in the Watch section. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/fine-watches-jewelry-clothes-sponsored-watch-u-want/515511-ferrari-308-watch.html To me it looks like a homage watch and not an official piece of merchandise. there are a bunch of these touted as vintage ferrari watches on Ebay. They are just new faces on old watches. They look old - that's about it. Not real.
For an older Ferrari watch I would only buy a genuine GP. http://retroclassicwatches.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=80
Great choice, Claude. I still love mine. Here after a fresh factory restoration. Unfortunately it was like new afterwards and I only rarely wear it since that restore in 2012 to keep in this condition. Before, I even wore it in my workshop. Thanks for the feedback, I was curious but now I don't really feel I missed something out of that auction
