    Paul,

If you don't get this one, you are welcome to come down to NJ in the spring and drive mine. One thing to remember, the 330GT series 2s switched from 4 mount to 2 mount engines part way through the run, I believe this effects the way they feel, so if you begin to like these cars, try both an early and a late car.

    Regards,

I want a series II for sure, Ive been making mental notes to myself about the 4 and 2 mount engines, P/S and the alloy wheels as standard - I want the wires but i wont walk away from a great car over that detail. Ive been looking at the 365GT2+2 as well but its just too portly - nice but not for me and the hydraulic rear suspension is a worry on that model.

And thanks so much for the offer, I would love to go for a spin in yours. How would a 250GTE compare to an older series I? Ive driven a GTE and loved it. The sound is very different than my boxer 12 and I found the GTE very relaxing to drive, I felt very comfortable in it. I wont be getting the one on ebay, the boxer must go first and I havent made a move on that as of yet.

    Paul,

Wires, P/S and AC were optional on later cars. Personally, I like the unassisted steering and the wires.

The 365GT is a cruiser in my opinion; the 330GTs are significantly lighter and feel very different, mechanically closer to the 250 series, whereas the 330GTC and 365GT are more modern in feel.

Personally, I've driven Yale's 330GT series 1, Tom Yang's 330 America (series 3 GTE with a 4 liter engine) and my early (4 mount) 330GT series 2. The America has a smaller cabin (I found it too small for me); the series 1 and 2 330GTs were very similar. Handling wise, my car and Yale's are quite similar. While I was not able to get much of an impression of the America because the road conditions (wet leaves) kept me from pushing the car at all, I have been told that the America may be slightly better than the 330GT due to a shorter wheelbase.

Also Yale's car and a late 330GT Series 2 were compared in Forza a while back and, according to Yale, his was much peppier but this may be due to the condition of the individual cars as well as the design changes.

    Regards,

    Art S.
