    Two observations:
First, you can only drive one car at a time, right ?
Second, isn't it better (at least for the car) to dedicate your affection/attention/time & money to fewer or even one than more which in majority of cases leads to neglect of all of them ?

Even most of the larger scale "collectors" don't seem to have enough time (or money ?) to appropriately maintain, let alone use their hoards, but I do agree about buying the best car available being the easiest way to enjoyment and "saving"(?) money in the long run.

Ahh if logic ruled car collecting you would be right - however that would assume we could resist something "we have always wanted".

Well, I got much of that “always wanted” nonsense done and over with in my twenties when one day I owned 27 vintage cars (almost all running and drivable) on two continents and realized there’s no way for me to adequately/respectfully (for cars) maintain all or even most, especially since I didn’t have enough $$s to employ a full-time crew to do it for me.
Sold all but few and within next couple of decades since, downsized to even less, but at least now they get the attention, care and adequate use they deserve.

I know I’m in a very small minority, but whenever I hear/read/see something about any large/huge collections, whether public or private, I usually feel sad for the cars.
In most cases they just end up becoming sad examples of deferred maintenance.

Actually, this ^ is one of many reasons I don’t attend or enjoy car shows much either.

Pollen and road dust suggested a spring cleaning was in order….

Leaf blower to remove excess water before drying. Works like a charm. :)

    Hello Markus!

Cool to see my post popping up on Ferrarichat! The car in the pictures is chassis number 12379, and is now registered in Slovakia.

I've been a long time observer of this thread and really enjoying the photos. Spotted on the Pebble Beach fairway during Saturday setup is #08753 330 GTC. Lots of unique details.

Question about the engine-turned front fender wells - Are these aluminum on the regular production 330 GTC cars?

Regular production cars had steel inner fenders painted black. I believe the front grill guard was a factory or dealer option. I have never seen the two-toned seats. I’d like to know more about the history of this car.

Thanks for the response on fenders. I see pop rivets in the aluminum near the drip rail. Would be interesting to see how much steel is behind the aluminum.

From the FCA AS-Built Configuration Guide: "Seat liners were an available option that could be used when the leather seat was too cold or too hot. These are original back and bottom seat liners made by Pininfarina. The seats had turn style fasteners under the front of the seats to hold the liners."

Per Massini in a separate thread: "8753, a one-off 330 GTC built for Dr. Fortunato Goscé, a very fortunate client and friend of Commendatore Enzo Ferrari."

Special features also are the door handles (a little bit similar to the ones of the Daytona), the accent lines and the vented bonnet from the 365 GTC.

It also looks like the the tops of the door cards and the center console are wood, not leather or vinyl.

I spoke to Marcel about this car ,as he put it totally bespoke car like a Tailor made car of that timeframe. The more you looked you would see so many special features that were not on the regular production 330 GTC's just a wonderful spec.

Interesting to see all the 365 GTC details on such an early 330 GTC serial number.........ideas were "in the works" for quite some time.......

-edit: and the 330 GTC badging missing from the boot lid.......

8753 is a total one-off GTC with a dozen or more special items, all perfectly documented by factory paperwork, Pininfarina letters etc. out of my archive.
Dr. Fortunato Goscé (born 27 July 1907 in Naples, Italy) was the original owner (bought it 20 August 1966 thru Crepaldi in Milan) and he had special ties to both Ferrari and Pininfarina and always got "tailor made" cars (he also owned 0531 GT and 2331 SA, etc.). It took nine months to build and complete this car, from order date to delivery.
Lots of very interesting and fascinating details to study and to find out.
I first inspected this superb car in 2007 in New Jersey.

Having spent 45 years to by my 330 GTC to 100 points at a FCA national meet, I noticed 2 items which I lost points and later had to correct. The tips of the sun visors are white not black. The Ferrari name on the valve covers are painted not bare aluminum. With a special car like this one, anything is possible when the car left the Factory.

I think it took third place in Ferrari Grand Touring class. Winner was a beautiful 1953 212 Inter Vignale.
