    Hi together,

    now here is what I found:
    1967 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2
    Black w/ Tan leather
    Series II
    5 Speed

    2004 the car was in an accident.
    The car was then sold and the next owner did a compete restoration

    The question is: Does anyone know little more about the accident?
    The dealership can't provide pictures showing the damage and repair activities. (strange)
    So we can't judge how deep the impact was.
    Current pictures show a nice condition, even from underbody.

    This car has been discussed before. Someone inspected the car here after the repairs and stated the quality of the repair work was excellent.

    As I recall, the accident occured because of a cracked wheel that caused loss of control.

    Proves 100% that anything can be fixed ... no need to waste buy turning into a replica!

    The fact that it has been painted black implies the work must be very good as that colours shows up any small blemish.

    So,.....was the car totaled after the wreck by an insurance company? If so, it will still be saddled with a salvage title forever unless somebody pulls a rabbit out of the hat and "cleans" up the history.

    Who cares ... if it was fixed properly then rock on.

    I'd be more worried about cars with missing history ...

    Well, the newer pictures (car now in black) show a proper underbody.
    I didn't see the car in person and I can not judge from these pics alone.

    Strange too: Car was sold to Mexico after crash for a short period of time.
    It might have been repaired and painted black there.
    Later it came back to USA an was sold at Hollywood, FL auction. (don't have the results)

    What I can't accept is a statement by the dealer like: "I don't have pictures from the restauration."
    Unbelievable to do a good repair/restauration without any proper documentation these days on a vintage Ferrari V12. :(
    Only if I do something fishy, I 'loose' all the pictures proving the cheats. :D

    09315: Original color was Argento 25090 A with Beige 3218 VM interior. Metallic silvergrey with tan.

    that's quite a difficult area of destruction in the rear, one of the worst areas on a car to be hit and attempt repair. They must have had to cut the entire rear off, or nearly the entire rear, and graft on a clean section from a donor car. It probably cost nearly half of what the car was worth to fix, but indeed the results are nothing short of fantastic.
