I thought it would be a good idea to start a 333SP race photo thread as I didnt see a photo thread for the cars as raced back in the 1990's. Keep this to mainly older as raced photos, not new pictures. I know many of you have nice photos of these cars that you took back in the 1990's. I have photos of almost every 333SP that ran at Daytona and Sebring from 1995-2000. I also have many IMSA/ALMS 333SP photos I will post as we go along. All my photos are day of race photos unless noted. If you have seen photos with fewer sponsor stickers at the same race on the same car it is likely they were taken during practice. All photos rights are owned by the posters and are for PRIVATE USE ONLY. I think F50GT 1990's testing photos can also be posted here if anyone has any. Lets start with these: Ferrari 333SP #003 Indy Raceway Park July 7th 1994 Ferrari 333SP #009 Daytona 24 Hours February 4th 1995 Ferrari 333SP #011 Sebring 12 Hours March 16th 1996 Ferrari 333SP #003 Daytona 24 Hours February 2nd 1997 with speciale aero bodywork Ferrari 333SP #010 Daytona 24 Hours February 2nd 1997 Tom Tanner/Ferrari Expo 2009 Model/Photography contest-Chicago Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Thanks for the photos. Please note that they used #010 for the 1996 Lemans 24 after it had the new Aero bodywork(financed by Andy Evans). Most of the presentation photos show the 1995 4 headlight factory bodywork. I will post more photos I have soon. They are all on Kodachrome slides as digital wasnt that good until after 2000. First two pictures are of my son in the MOMO Ferrari. At the time it was owned by Jim Matthews--a great guy. He let my son get in the car and I took the pictures--hell it's been 9 years. This was at Road Atlanta. (There are pics of me, too, but my son looks better in the car.) The third picture is of my next ex-wife, but it somehow made its way into the mix. For some reason the 333SP is one of my favorite Ferraris. If I had the resources to buy a Ferrari and I had ample access to a competent mechanic and track this car would be at the top of my "have to have list". Awesome pictures.
BIG budget. Every now and again I toy with the idea of one. Then, I pull out my notes from the last time I spoke with Kevin Doran. It's the kick in the n&ts that wakes me up every time. I think there's a lot of maintenance that can get "put off" but these cars were designed to only go so long before rebuilds, and breaking something will be 3x more expensive than replacing prior to. 001 reportedly had all the development time on the motor, but it held up for quite a while past the recommended time to rebuild. Operationally, it's a big number, too. However, they are the bee's knees. And, I still want one. CW

I have one of the rear wheels from Andy Evan's # 3 car. Our Porsche pit location was next to Andy's Pit location for the Rolex 24hrs. I also have a signed lithograph of Moretti's Triumph My other litho is "Ferrari Reigns", which shows the number 3 & 33 Scandia Cars
