    Chinetti imported this car and he had it on his stand at the NY Auto Show. There was a picture of Chinetti with the car in Mechanics Illustrated, probably in 1952. The picture was in color and looks like it was taken in Central Park NY. Does anyone have this magazine or the picture. I would like to confirm its color.

    The original color was described ar"metallic burgendy" in "European Car" mag of Sept 1994 page 77. The color was changed to yellow in 1982 during resto by Steve Griswold. At some point before this three oval chrome trimmed port holes were added to the front fenders and later removed. The early B&W pix show a dark color, a chrome strip between the wheel wells below the doors and no portholes.
