I have listed both a 5 piece black set of Schedoni luggage that came with my 348 and a 4 piece tan set of Schedoni luggage that came with my 512TR at Heritage Auctions' website (HA.com). I never used either set of luggage; they have been in storage for years. The Heritage auction number is 5206 (Fine and Decorative Art); the lot number for the 348 set is 61389 and the lot number for the 512TR set 61390. The auction is currently open for bidding and will close on February 22nd. There are several high definition photos of the sets on the Heritage website. ADDITIONAL ADDED INFO: All pieces come with their original dust covers; also, keys are included for any pieces with a lock.
I suggest anyone interested check out the listings on the Heritage website for additional photos and current bidding activity.

    Those look nice.

Do you have a price in mind / reserve? My brother needs a set.

Once I gave them to Heritage on consignment, I have no control of pricing. I chose not to set a reserve - preferring to let the market work its way. Heritage has set $500 as the minimum bid for each set. Go to the Heritage web site to see latest bids and activity. The auction has been open just a few days; when I last looked, the black set is being "followed" by 13 people but no bids yet; the tan set is being followed by 11 people and has had two bids so far - the latest is $700. I should have mentioned that all pieces come with their original dust covers and keys for any pieces with locks [I'm going to edit the description now to include this info].

The Heritage Auction site lists the 348 set as Lot # 61390 & tan in color. Lot 61389 as the 512TR set in black. But your description above has that reversed. Which is correct? so I can bid on the set I need for my car.

I checked the Heritage site and they have indeed switched the listings. When I consigned both sets to Heritage, I told them I could not recall which set came with which car as I never used the luggage and sold both cars in the 1990's and moved on to a 355. I relied on Heritage to do the research and label the sets correctly. After seeing your post, I did my own online research and the current listings are correct. The black set is for the 512TR and the tan set is for the 348. I will now correct the listing . Thank you for pointing this out.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A CORRECTION OF MY ORIGINAL POST WHICH HAD THE SETS REVERSED WITH THE CARS; HERITAGE HAS CORRECTED THIS ON THEIR WEBSITE AS WELL. MY APOLOGIES FOR ANY CONFUSION THIS MAY HAVE CAUSED.

    Look unused to me....

He states he has all the outer bags, and fobs.

There are slippers in the shoe carrier too!
    Go get 'em Tiger..

Worth $5K each set, IMO, in today's money....as Schedoni and Ferrari are no more...
Factory store has ceased to offer the reproductions for the 308/328.

Those (4 pieces) were $4100 Euro.

Your questions all involve subjective judgment. In my opinion, the condition of the pieces in the set is excellent. As I said in my listing the luggage was never used; they were kept in closets for a time, then moved to a storage facility. All the pieces have the Ferrari dust cover bags. The Heritage Auction people are quite good in their evaluation of condition for any item consigned to them. Below is their description of the set:

"FERRARI 512 TR 5-PIECE LEATHER LUGGAGE SET BY SCHEDONI
    Italy, 1990s

Five piece leather luggage set in Nero leather made by Schedoni specifically for the Ferrari 512 TR. Includes two small Ferrari cases with dust bags and keys, Ferrari briefcase with dust bag and keys, medium Ferrari case with dust bag and keys, and large Ferrari case with dust bag and keys. Ferrari logo embossed on each piece. In excellent condition with minimal wear.
    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000"

Hope that helps. Thanks for your interest.

They have no idea what these are worth, you should call them with MY opinion!!
Seriously, more like $5 - $6K, on these, of course, the 512TR crowd rolls a little stronger than the 348 Brotherhood....black is a sought after color also.
    :D :D :D

Or, find a cached page of the Factory Store or the original Option Price (they were expensive!)

I paid $2,500 for the 4 pc. 308 set, with some interior lining flaking (normal failure based upon age, in original sets)...as a comparison.

Add to that the end of the Ferrari/Schedoni production contract.
I wouldn't want you to get hosed, although as you say "the market" is the market.

Hopefully this thread will add some eyeballs to the auction.
    GLWS!

Thanks for your support, BigTex! From my own experience with auctions of many sorts, I decided a while ago to simply let the market work its ways - except for exceptionally valuable items. Also, unless I chose to set a reserve price - which I did not - Heritage will use its own research to set estimated price range. Obviously, I hope your insight and expertise rules the day!

As a note it looks like the auction site adds 25% buyer's premium- in case anyone didn't see that...

Why not just sell them outright? This whole auction thing + 25% buyers premium just stinks.

    1. The Ebay listing is from Heritage Auctions - the auction house to whom I consigned the two sets of luggage. The Ebay listing is just another form of marketing for the auction.
    2. 25% buyer's premium is the standard for most auction houses. They also charge a seller's commission. This is simply the business model of auction houses.
    3. I chose not to sell direct because I don't want to deal with shipping, buyers who may back off after agreeing to a transaction, etc. In a word, it's a simpler no-hassle method from my perspective.
    4. Anyone who is interested in either set is welcome to bid.

    Good luck to all.

I haven't had any of the issues that you mentioned and honestly believe that you would have sold them now if you originally went with a BIN price.

Either way, good luck! Those will make someone very happy!

Does anyone know if the 348 luggage set will fit in a 348 spider? I'm not sure if one of the pieces fits behind the drivers seat. There is no shelf in the convertible.
