Gents had my 348 alternator go kaput today - trying to find a replacement. I see there are 90A and 105A versions. How do I know what one is suitable for my 348? Is thee any guidance. The car is in the garage so I don't have to part number of the original to hand.

    Cheers

    Glenn

A quick look in the 348/355 section revealed this thread, found in the DIY sticky at the top of the section. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/technical-q/142329-348-alternator-removal-rebuild.html Be sure and read ALL of the pages before you proceed to order parts. A search of the archives brought up this link for a shop that sells upgraded alternators http://www.raceproven.com/prod_alt_nd110osr25.php

It's amazing what you can find on Fchat if you just put a little effort into looking first before you ask. ;)

You first need to determine if you have a Delco or a Nippondenso. You will go dizzy reading through endless threads with info that does not pertain to you. You can then proceed to find the appropriate repair or upgrade/replacement info after that.
