my exhaust sounds like its rattling or vibrating when i rev the car could this be something loose inside the system or the brackets that support the exhaust have broken or come adrift .

I had two exhaust rattles when I bought my 348. One was from the actual catalyst "honeycombs" inside the catalytic converter chambers, which were moving around inside, although they appeared to be intact. I took the converters off, drilled a small hole into the bottom of the chamber, threaded the hole, and installed a screw that secures the honeycomb in place. Hasn't rattled since.

The other rattle was from a broken bracket on the left side of the muffler, right where the pipe enters the muffler. Since I was in a hurry to fix this at home, instead of having the bracket welded back on, I used a good sized stainless steel hose clamp to attach the bracket onto the pipe. It's worked fine for years. That was the main rattle. Didn't cost anything to fix.

I had a rattle as well that ended up being the bracket that holds the muffler on....

    ditto for me.

turned out to be the metal heat shields on the catalytic converters. - just crimped them back in place with some pliers
