Hi, As some of you may know I am planning to buy a Ferrari 348 hopefully RHD and late model as possible at the end of Feb06(cant wait!!). I have been doing allot of research on the forums and reading buyers guide and I have come to the conclusion that if you buy a peach the car shouldnt give you that much hassle as long as you service it and look after it. Now I am planning to see as many cars as I can at the end of Feb and the make a short list of the ones I feel that fit the bill or look and sound decent. However that is far as my expertise goes!! So I was wondering if someone who knows more about these cars or knows what they are looking for will please come with to view the cars on my shortlist. I will of course pay them for there time!! I fell in love with the 348 since I was in my teens after I saw and heard one, in my opinion they are one of the best looking Ferraris ever and finally may get my hands on one. If someone who may own one of these beautiful cars want take me for spin I will be so grateful because I have never been in. Thanks for taking the time to read this topic and hopefully I will get few replies. Cheers, Amo P.S. By the why I am located in the UK and have posted this topic both in the 348 section and the UK section.
If you come to the states in the next few months, PM me. Ill take you for a rip in mine. I love it. Great driver, more comfortable then i thought it would be and lots of fun-- some what classic styling. '95 Red Spider, Tan gut. I might be selling it in early '06. Car is immaculate! Dunno if you can take a US car into UK though.. Cant say enough great things about the 348, though. Love the car. Will definately get another one if I sell this one. Want a color change.
Cheers Ciao Bello 348, If I am ever in US I will PM you. May buy the car from aboard if the price is right. I will let you know if I am interested in yours. vks if I am in London (may be in the next couple of weeks) I will PM you. Thanks for the replies
Amandeep, If you're in Kent any time, I'll be happy to take you for a spin. PM me. That's my car in the 348 guide Jas
And the next update to that 348 guide will actually be thoughtful enough to give you credit, too! Sorry about the oversight.
Hi you have picked a great car, easy to drive in paek hour or let rip on the HWY, I have a 93 TS and its the best Ferrari ive owned out of 4 various models. If your in Sydney i'll take you for a spin Andrew
Excellent choice!! Those of us who have them, love them (even if others HATE 'em!) LOL To be honest, I wasn't real hip on the 348 until I drove one. I preferred the more refined look of the 355, but boy oh boy is this a fun car!! Good luck! Mike
And... very important... the site might take you one step closer to the 348. THe knowledge and help is incredible... suppose you had to go for every small item to the dealer...$$$$$. I was afraid to buy one, till I found this site.. Never had any big issues in the 10 months I own her though. Just the bloody winter now... :-(
No Doubt, it's not a problem at all. My car's feeling very pleased with itself being in the guide Really, don't worry about it I was pleased to be able to find such a mint example of a RHD red 348 Spider, so it's nice to see it featured. 348 Spider's are just sooooo stunning looking
Your car, Dale's, and Andy Hls' are outstanding 348 examples. You UK blokes seem to have it all figured out. Here in the U.S. our examples aren't quite so well preserved, though one or two 348 owners comes close (Ingenere's 348 comes to mind). That being said, I *love* driving my 348 every day, rain or shine. It's a very well balanced machine...very raw, yet in an ironic, refined way. It's a thousand miles per month of unadulterated driving nirvana.
Condition-wise I wouldn't put *any* Ferrari in the same league as Dale's I think even freshly factory built one's have more dirt on them I couldn't agree more about driving them though, and I hope you have seen the "spin video" that Stig posted from my airfield event? Most of us love driving them too Admittedly I don't willingly drive either of my sports cars in the wet though. Can't wait for Spring/summer now!
...and of course, all credit to Charlie for finding the car for me ....through gritted teeth probably, being a lowly 348
Er thats not true, i have had nothing to do with bloody 348s and never will. Dont try to blacken my already bad name Jas.......any way Jas who? who are ya..........
