    Well I get calls (and texts) all the time from dealers about cars for sale, hoping I will buy. It works at times but yesterday I got this from Main Line BMW (I have bought 25 cars from the same salesperson). Apparently they took this in on trade. The engine was rebuilt and it does not some work, but at this price you could afford to put some money into it. I have never seen the car, but I an vouch for the dealer and the salesperson that contacted me. His name is Peter Ryan and Main Line BMW is in Bala Cynwyd PA. I have nothing to do with this sale, and I'm doing this to try and unite a buyer with a car. I will admit I am tempted but I am looking at something else right now.

    I might be interested. Have them contact me or send me his contact info. I need a lot of info. Car bas had a windshield replacement and someone used a chrome trim which is not even made by Ferrari.

    That is a bit of a tell tale sign of what may be to come and therefore a driving in price as much other work may be needed.

    Do you know if the title is clean (non salvage) ?

    The number is 888-447-0256, I am sure the title is clean. I know this dealer I cannot believe they would take a car in with a salvaged title. Ask for Peter Ryan, as I said I have bought a lot of cars from him, he is a good guy.

    this car looks familiar with the silver windshield trim.. it was posted here for sale in the past.. and if I recall it had challenge wheels on it at the time..

    I'm out - car has branded title (looks like the speedometer / odometer was changed at 53K miles). Car appears to have 80K miles now.

    If the car is mechanically OK, it might make a decent driver / beater. For $40K, it may only be worth parting out. I 'm prefer to save them then part out so it's not for me.

    That surprises me, I would not think that this dealer would take in a car with issues. Like I said I am just passing on the info.

    Morrie - my guess is they took this in on trade at a very low number. They have it offered at $54,950 and apparently are dropping to $39,900 per your post. I'm guessing they picked this up for $25K or less.

    Ken - based on a mileage discrepancy. As I mentioned, I'd guess it had a speedometer replacement at 54K miles.

    Yes it was, and the engine bay pics showed years and years of neglect, had poor service and owners that you would not want as a prior Ferrari custodian.

    I wish I had the time or room to save it. Too much going on for me right now. I love projects like that though. Even at 40k it seems worth fixing ?

    Ok, so it was changed at 53k miles. But that doesn’t seems a lot of mileage, is it?

    Sorry but does this mean it doesn't run "The engine was rebuilt and it does not some work" ? I am reading that as it doesn't run or it just needs some work. Not far from me.

    It's had 30K miles added after the 53K Mike - yeah, 83K is a lot ;)

    I turned down a running 355 Spider for $25k earlier this year. With major and just the minimal work it would have put car above retail prices.
