Is there a way to refurbish the ones that are there right now? Mine are starting to look a little worn, maybe a slight rust spot in one or the other...

I'd like to stay with OEM since the car is a challenge car and I like it more 'basic' -- although I assume CF would save a little weight it would look too 'perfect' as compared to the rest of the interior ;-)

Has anybody successfully removed and sandblasted/powdercoated the ones that are there?

I would think, carefully remove the rubber strip. Then sand, remove rust, prime and paint with a semigloss black.

At least that is what I did on my 348, until I bought carbon fiber sills.
