I recently bought a new 355 GTS F1 from -99, my last car (same model) had the fiorano handling pack and felt much sharper when cornering and stable at high speeds. As a first action to make sure the cars chassis is in order, I had a 4-wheel alignment done. It made the car more stable and it now behaves neutral, but it is still not as “sharp” as my previous car and far from the way I would like it to be.

Searching for chassis improvement for the 355 points in the direction of spacers and springs and I am afraid these are mainly intended to make the car look cooler. I am looking for something that will give me back that fiorano feeling. I am probably looking for stiffer springs and maybe a stiffer anti-swaybar, a proven kit or recipe I guess.

Have anyone successfully improved the 355 in the way I am trying to?

I put Moton Shock 3 way adjustable shocks and stock springs. Ride is not harsh and less body roll even compared to the sport setting. Car is lower about 1/2 all around. You loose your electric damping but once you have it set you don't need to change it. It has infinite adjustment by just turning a knob. I think it worked well but is expensive. I have heard of just changing to H&R springs works well too.

Any one with H&R spring that can tell me what difference it made. How was the overall handling of the car different afterwards, especially in terms of body roll and ride comfort.

If I change to stiffer springs and spacers, what should I do about the wheel alignment? Should I go for the same settings as before or should I change anything as a result of lowering the car?
