My newly acquired 355 GTS was left out in parking lot during heavy rain and the carpets underseats got soaked and was not recognized for several weeks. I pulled seats and carpet and had to rip out most of the sound deadening insulation under the carpet to avoid mold. Was thinking of just using dynamat to replace. Any input of where to source correct original material? I assume I could buy each individual piece from dealer but that seems expensive. Any input appreciated. New to Ferrari ownership and trying my best not to cut corners.

That sound deadening is pretty thick, it's not just sound deadening it's used to support the carpet and have it look flat. typically what happens is you just use a high density carpet foam. You can find it online it's what they use for every single hot rod installation in the world when they put carpet in. It's available multiple different thicknesses from 1/8 of an inch to 3/8. It's also better quality than that stuff Ferrari stuck in. Run some Google searches for how to install carpet in a car you'll find a bunch of different articles that has links to products. Good luck!
