Ok, I realize I'm new on the board here, but I could use some assistance if someone has upgraded their 360 front calipers/rotors. Specifically, I'm curious to see a picture or two of the Hat/Bell for the Brembo GT upgrade kit. Thanks, Greg
My suggestion would be to speak with Martin Meade @ Girodisc (http://www.************/catalog/). They have a great two-piece disc solution that might be the upgrade you're wanting, and a price that's nicer than a full Brembo kit.
Here ya go Greg, The Brembo big brake upgrade kit consists of an F-50 caliper, (40-44mm pistons) and the F-50 front disc 355x32, (stock front is 38-42mm caliper and 330x28 disc). As i recall Rifledriver mentioning, this is only needed for high speed long distance racing for the 360. These components are used by brembo for many big brake kits, for Ferraris -Testa rosas and F-40s and for other more prosaic rides like GMs half ton suvs. I don't have that much power, but they are absolutely unbeatable on a 308. hth, chris Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks everyone for the help with the 360 brembo upgrades....lots of help...I'm starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel! Greg
I put Brembo big brakes on my 550 some years ago - 380's on the front and 355's on the back. If you upgrade the front, also suggest that you do the back to maintain balance. I was very happy with my 550 after the upgrade. I remember a trip in China when I needed to scrub off speed in a hurry and I watched a 360 go sailing by me at a rate of knots and crash with standard brakes. The upgrade was worth every cent at that moment. I now have a 575HGTC. Maybe it is my bad memory, but I have the feeling that my upgraded 550 stopped better - particularly on the initial hit. I also have Brembo big brakes on my F40 all the way around and AP Racing fronts on my Daytona. Brakes are important to me!!!
